One of our River Birch trees was run over and needed replaced. The original replacement tree was too big to fit between our curb and sidewalk. Steve Kern eventually found one that fit and it's a real nice tree.

Steve's company went above and beyond to satisfy us.

They met with us to discuss our preferences prior to constructing a planting design, once it was approved, a work schedule was agreed upon and all work was completed in a timely, professional fashion.

Upon initial meeting with Steve Kern, owner of Kern Landscaping, he jumped to the top of my list of landscapers I was interviewing to provide me with the hardscape I wanted. Professional and personable, he was my choice among many. After a design was decided upon, and with a comfortable give-and-take combining my thoughts, ideas, and property layout, with Steve's years of experience and know-how, they went to work. The primary crew of Aaron and Jake were terrific. Punctual, professional and very hard-working, they were focused on not just getting the job done, but on getting done right. Aaron, the true craftsman, and his apprentice, young Jake, worked flawlessly together - I felt, at times, like I was thrown back in time, or headed south to the streets of Williamsburg, Virginia, were proud craftsman helped build a nation. They dealt with large roots from a huge Maple, water issues, and a few other concerns, with care and creativity. Aaron handled the stone like a painter dabs into his paint, and my yard was his canvass. What resulted is a beautiful walkway, and patio that is the envy of anyone who sees it, or gets to enjoy its beauty by relaxing on or near the fine work done.
I can not thank Steve, Aaron and young Jake enough for the care and unmatched quality of work done. It is superb - if you want hardscape done, and done right, Kern Landscaping should be your choice. Thank you guys - you are terrific.
