I hired Jim to replace my existing nightmare of a convoluted breaker box setup with a modern breaker box setup with an added generator hookup.  My old setup had 5 boxes: 3 with breakers, 1 with a giant switch going nowhere, 1 with a mystery relay setup and several unattached mystery wires hanging by the boxes. 

My house had originally had electric heat.  It was switched to hot water baseboard sometime in the 90s.  Jim helped me trace out all the wires and the best hypothesis we could come up with for the relay setup was it was used for a convoluted electric heat control system. 

Jim figured out and cleaned up all the rat's nest of wiring and reduced the breaker count from 52 to 38 by removing unused hookups.  Most of the reduction came from removing the old electric heating wiring.  I'm very pleased with the organized and clean final result.  He spent roughly 15 hours over two days (10 the first day) completing the job.  All the mystery wires were traced, labelled and safely taped up away from the breaker boxes to potentially be reused for future electrical upgrades.

The total $2420 price was in the high end of the expected cost range and I think it was worth it.  I would recommend Jim to anyone needing electrical work.
