He walked away with our money and the little bit of work that was done was shoddy. Our house is in disrepair and we are struggling financially to complete the project and correct his mistakes.
Description of Work: UPDATE 9-3-12 you have hired Nick Venini or Buildwright Construction in the past or are considering hiring him, please contact me at johnson259@yahoo.com. The Attorney General needs to know how many families' homes were left like ours was!!! Nick Venini abandoned the job after we paid him $49803.75, we attempted to contact him by emails, text messages and phone messages numerous to no avail. I have contacted him many times to remind him that we paid him $49,803.75 for him to build us a two story addition and a deck and as of today, the below list is the list of jobs that have not been done. This is not a final list as we are continually finding more jobs undone. Also we are concerned with the jobs that were done incorrectly as addressed by the architect. THIS IS NOT A FINAL LIST Bedroom windows - never installed. The entire deck has not been built. The new heater/ air conditioner that we paid for was never installed. We have no electricity in the addition. We have no plumbing in the addition. There is a door going from the addition to a 15 foot drop where the deck should have met the addition. The construction debris must be removed from around the addition and backfill must be done - (per architect's email). All of the corrections to the addition have to be addressed per architect's email. The drainage pipes must be installed. Our driveway needs to be repaired. The gutters need to be installed. We don't have doors on the "garage" part of the addition; therefore our home is open to disease carrying rodents and wild life. We have a door on the office, but there is no doorknob We have no way of accessing the addition from the driveway except by stepping over a jagged hole in the driveway onto a short wooden plank that was placed on top of two cinder blocks by the builder. The siding has not been completed. There is no stucco on the building. The tile for the mudroom has not been installed. There is paint on the brick in the addition that needs to be addressed. The kitchen door that was to be removed and that area was to be framed was never done. The pass-through from the kitchen to the addition was never done. Our cabinets in the laundry room have not been installed, nor is there any counter top. Doors for the laundry room were not installed. Ceiling lights were not installed. We have no exhaust for the dryer and no plumbing for the washer. Landscaping - our lawn looks like a mud filled quarry and is littered with dangerous construction debris
