About us

Oxford Veterinary Hospital is a full service AAHA accredited small animal practice dedicated to delivering the highest level of care to your pets through out their entire lives. Our Philosophy: We understand and celebrate the special role animals play in our lives, in our families, and in our culture. Animals serve us in endless ways, as our companions, partners, best friends, playmates, consolers, guardians, entertainers, and helpers of the handicapped; and through example, they are our teachers in the enjoyment of life. In return, pets deserve to be given a loving and safe home, good nutrition, and to be provided with preventative health care; and they deserve to have their illness and injuries treated and their pain alleviated.

We have had two visits with this vet for our 5 month old puppy. Our visits were good and everyone was friendly. Upon leaving we found out I was not informed of possible side effects of the boosters my dog was given which was concerning, but we let it go. The next visit we were given medicine because our dog tested positive for Giardia and had diarrhea. After the weeks worth of medicine was gone, my dog still has diarrhea. I called twice, three days ago, the day the medicine was done, and never received a phone call back. This was the last straw as we feel they definitely do not care about your pets here. They do however enjoy collecting money as we spent a little over $500 in about 3 weeks with no resolve. We have since made n appointment with a new vet that seems more attentive.

We regularly take our cats to Oxford Veterinary Hospital because they are very difficult to work with when it comes to routine procedures. This fact youwould never know  when the excellent staff of this hospital takes over.  They are gentle, kind, compassionate and most of all; THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!   They applied the Revolution with minimal overspill, which if you have a pet with long or thick hair you know is very difficult.  I usually get most of it on their hair.  It is well worth the money to let this qualified staff administer Revolution so our pets receive the maximum benefit from it.
Nail trim details:
Not much to say, because as I mentioned before, if you know what you are doing it doesn't take long.  Sandi & Midori had their nails trimmed before they could think about even one little "hiss".  All the kind words, attention and quick, gentle, handling helped.

Staff is very friendly and attentive to the animals. They spend all the time that you need to ensure that your animal receives all the care required and all your questions are answered. They even had one owner remove a very loud dog who would not stop barking, and created a tense atmosphere for the other animals in the waiting room.
