We have used this provider many times and have been quite satisfied each and every time. I feel they are very reasonable and honest, and I never feel that I have to second guess the diagnosis of the problem.

Services were performed in a professional manner and the work was completed on time. Counter staff was very helpful and costs were reasonable. In addition to the work completed, counter staff also indicated repair/replacement items that would need attention in the near to intermediate future. Staff was also helpful in providing information on several aspects of the state vehicle registration process with which I was not familiar (coming from out-of-state).

Everyone at Oil City Automotive is very polite and helpful. Brian goes out of his way to help customers save money and he has gotten my vehicle in at the last minute several times. Their communication is excellent and I have never had any complaints about their work. I will not take my vehicle anywhere else.

My car had been missing and chugging when accelerating. Brian Swartzfager is the manager and lead mechanic at the shop. His analyzer indicated a misfire in one of the cylinders. He pulled the spark plug wire and found that particular sparkplug and broken and burned through. There was no damage to the plug wire, He replaced the plug and charged some small fee , mostly for the time spent finding and fixing the problem, along with something else he did at a previous visit that he didn't have time to bill me for.
Oil City Automotive is very busy. They have earned a tremendous amount of respect for knowledgeable service. If they can't accommodate a repair, they have other outside providers they can use. I had a leaking head gasket on my 2001 Forester. They have a Subaru specialist in the area who they give work that is more time and space intensive or requires a special too, like pressing out wheel bearings. It was done in under 3 full days for around $1200 which includes spark plugs, wires, radiator flush and fill along with the new head gasket, of course. If I didn't go to them, I don't have an easy answer who else I'd take my car to.

I asked if they had a pick up service and my van was picked up at my place of business promptly in the morning and was returned at the designated time. The service was $150.00 less expensive than my Toyota dealership would have charged and I did not have to have Rotors replaced as I was told by Toyota. Brian very honest and very professional!

Bryan was extremely helpful and didn't hesitate to take the time to answer my questions. I called seeveral times with questions regarding my vehicle, and my phone calls were always returned promptly. There were issues he could not resolve as it was a Nissan, but he did not charge to place it on his diagnostic equipment. Would use this business again with no hesitation.
