The installation team removed tile leveling wedge clips incorrectly (per clip manufacture's website) breaking seal on tiles and having to replace 32 of approximately 160 that came loose from thinset due to error. Replacement tile were installed unlevel with previous tiles, leaving sharp corners exposed on some. When the tile were grouted, way too much water was used to level and clean up grouting--no kidding like puddles of water on the floor (per many websites another mistake). This resulted in light spots in the dried grouting job. I still have the original consistent colored grouting used in the bucket just left in my garage. Owner Adam Gilmore refused to take any responsibility for the horrible job, wouldn't fix the floor, nor would he even stain the grouting one consistent color till I could replace the floor myself--and demanded full payment. I don't blame the incompetent workers who incorrectly removed the wedge clips, I would make mistakes working for a boss like Adam as well who just showed up on the job to belittle them and complain verses helping them to learn to do a better job. He is the one who is supposed to have many years of experience but is an incompetent boss and company owner. I later did my bathroom tiling myself after reading directions on tiling; it is actually any easy process that takes time and patience not speed and blaming everyone and everything else for your errors. I bought new tiles for replacement and will do a better job as an amateur ceramic tiler without a doubt.
Description of Work: Gilmore floors installed ceramic tile on my kitchen floor at the fastest pace possible and centered on nothing with leveling clips to keep the tiles level in the thinset.
