Everything went as planned. They cleaned up the job every day and done in a timely manner. Went above and beyond to make me very happy. 2 thumbs up!

John was not happy that we signed up qithAngies List. He complained that he never signed up. Did not want the work. And never was paid money on Angie's List. After several calls I decided mutually that I will cancel the work and get my money back from Angie's List. Talked to customer service to cancel. Next week got a call from John who said he will take the job because he felt sorry for me. He again complained about Angie's List. After couple of tries to set up the appointment John and his worker showed up. They complained what a rotten job my roof was put in. I showed my spare tiles and they said it is not useable. They did not do any service and agai complained about Angie's List. I basically said tha I am happy if they just want to leave. I will deal with Angie's List. This is a very bad customer experience. Wasted a lot of my time.

Poorly. Left without finishing and left garbage. Overpriced too.

An amazing experience and an outstanding job! They were here from morning to dusk to get the job done. Very professional and very clean. I would use them again for repairs in the future!

Went great.  Took 1 1/2  days for all of the work.  Went very quickly and workmanship was excellent.  Very professional.

These guys replied FAST to my request for an estimate and visited us the following day.  I explained we wanted 4 basement walls studded out, insluated and drywalled with a few electrical outlets on each  - nothing fancy.  They insisted on trying to talk me into building custom shelving and bragged about how high-tech they are with CAD programs Mac computers.  I told them I want to start asap and they said "no problem - we are looking for small jobs like this right now."  After 7 days later we still had no estimate.  
I can't speak to the kind of work they do but I thought waiting a week for an estimate is nuts.  If I'm wrong, I apologize but that was a turn off.

The original quote from the insurance company adjustor was only for about half, maybe 2/3 of the roof.  John felt that would compromise the integrity of the repair if the entire roof was not replaced.  He went to bat for me with the insurance company and got approval for the entire roof.
When the time came to choose the color for the roof I asked my neighbor (I live in half a double) for his thoughts so we could match.  I even asked him to consider using John for his roof, but he had fallen into the trap of those "storm chasers" who hit town just after the hail storm happened.  And he couldn't back out, because he had already put money down.  (The moral of that story is stick to a local contractor, someone who will be there if you have questions or concerns after the fact!!)
Anyway, we agreed on a color and it turned out to be close enough.  The products John used seemed to me to be more eye-appealing than my neighbor's, but that is just a personal opinion.  The final product turned out great.  My back roof (that little piece over your back porch) - John even put shingles on that.  I assumed that was a normal thing until I looked out the rear upstairs window and noticed that my neighbor's contractor only put down a piece of tarpaper.  Yuck.  That doesn't match well at all, but nothing I can do about it. 
John and his crew are a class act.  They showed up on time (as I was leaving for work) and as I recall the roof was pretty much (if not all) done the same day.  They had a subcontractor come in another day to replace the gutters but John, Jr stayed all day to supervise and instruct on a particular placement of a gutter that we had agreed on.

At this time, unfortunately I could not do the project. But I will keep John in mind for future work.

John from American Construction did my neighbors roof, he gave me an excellent price on our roof and siding for the front of our home. I was very pleased with the service we received, very courteous and hard working team. They had our roof done in one day and the siding looks fantastic. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs siding, roofing or any construction work done. They cleaned everything up when they were finsihed and swept up all the nails. Very highly recommended. Thanks again for the wonderful work you did on our home we so appreciate everything.

John of American Construction designed layout according to our wishes. Professional, computer driven blueprints. From blueprints to final decorative touches, John oversaw the entire project. He made sure that all was done correctly and according to our wishes.

My mother lives in a remote town in Pennsylvania, and her family is scattered along the East Coast.  Mom's house was hit with a severe storm and needed the roof replaced, water damage inside her house repaired and some sections of the siding repaired and replaced.  We were fortunate enough to find John K by way of an advertisement he had mailed to my mother.  He gave Mom and her family an estimate of the cost of doing the repairs which was competitive with other estimates we received.  John and his crew started the job promply and completed the work quickly and in a workman like fashion.  John and crew treated my Mom respectfully and courteously, and made a favorable impression on Mom. 
Because John had such a good job on the storm repairs, my brother and I asked that John give us an estimate to replace storm doors and windows in Mom's house.  We gave the job to John, and he and his crew completed the work quickly and with a minimum of disruption and confusion to Mom. 
We value John's serrvices highly, and were pleased that he stuck to his estimates and did very good work.  If we need some more work done on Mom's home, we will be in touch with John and his American Construction group of Jim Thorpe PA.

Shortly after a severe hail storm our area was flooded with contractors offering estimates - some not so free as it turned out.  Since American Construction was fairl local, compared to some, I had them do a quick evaluation.  They suggested I contact my insurance company.  The damage wasn't obvious from the ground but was very noticeable once someone went up onto the roof.  After the insurance adjuster visited, American Construction gave me an estimate which was right on target.  The day they showed up to start the job they began by laying tarps all around the perimeter of the house to aid in cleanup.  They removed the old roofing material and cleaned up every last bit of it and hauled it away.  The new roofing material arrived while they were finishing up the removal process and they immediately began applying the tar paper and the new roof.  They also cut the plywood at the peak so that the vent actually did what it was supposed to.  My roof has several valleys and the work in those areas looks perfect.  Overall an extremely professional job.

John was always supervising this roofing job and that impressed me the most!  He remained on site to ensure a proper clean-up each day and was quite friendly to our family.   If I had any questions, I could always reach him.  He addressed all questions/concerns that I had.  His crew is very friendly and quite professional.  John's work has far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area that is considering a roofing company!  

From the time of the estimate until the job was less than a week. They removed all the old roofing and had the the boards replaced in one day. They came back the next day and finished the roof and had everything cleaned by the time I got home from work. They were very professional in all aspects, from the estimate to product selection to the clean up. I would recommend American Construction to anybody needing quality roofing work.

Seamless and painless, they did everything they said they would do!

American Construction put on a much-needed new roof on my rental property. I admit I did not shop around because A) it was a pretty urgent matter and B) there are not too many roofers in that area. I tried another company about a year ago that stopped returning my calls for some unknown reason, and I never was able to get an estimate from them. However, I was told by a couple people that I was given a good price. My house was in the path of Hurricane Sandy, so I waited until she passed through to post this. The roof survived, unscathed! The old roof probably would have blown away. I let the company choose the shingle color for me, and they made a beautiful choice, if there is such a thing as a beautiful roof. I had an estimate within two days of my first contact with the company, and the job was completed less than two weeks later. All in all, I am happy with the job they did, and I probably will use them again in the future. 
My only complaint has nothing to do with the work that was done. The owner probably shouldn't talk politics with his customers, because one day, it's going to offend someone and cause him to lose a customer.

He did everything that would finish off a basement. We had recently purchased the house, and we had to remove some stuff left from the previous mover. He went over everything beforehand. He gave us computer generator drafts of the room. His skills are up to date. He knows how to do the whole job. We are extremely happy with the result. We still get compliments even from those who have seen it many times.

They did an excellent job-finishing the roofing work in one day!  The roof had an extremely steep pitch to it and they handled it well.  
They also did a fantastic and thorough job sanding and painting the window trim.  The house has a lot of windows and they completed the job effectively and efficiently.
After both jobs they cleaned the site completely.

My house looks terrific now, thanks to American Construction!
