RICK SCHMIDT ELECTRIC INC

I'm very satisfied with entire project..........Rick came to my home quickly after I contacted him and he did a complete evaluation, explaining all my options...........Within a couple days, I had in-hand a complete estimate............Within one week, two Electricians were at my home, at the time that Rick stated................They did the complete job including a test run with the generator to my satisfaction........I would ask Rick Schmidt Electric Inc. back to my home in the future............Rick was clear, professional and his price was excellent.....

I contacted Rick Schmidt to see if he could mount two televisions for me.  Rick had done work for me in the past, so when I contacted him, I asked if an electrician was the correct person for the job or asked if I should contact a handyman.  Rick indicated that he certainly could do the job.  At no time did he indicate that his would be on a "time and material" basis.  On the scheduled date, the two men that Rick had sent were 1 hour late.  When I showed the workers the mounts, they did not even know how to attach the mount to the television.  They read the instructions and mounted it upside down.  They then indicated that I needed to get another mount because this mount would not work with my television.  After inspecting what they did, I proceeded to show them how to correctly attach the mount.  When they went to attach to the wall, they indicated that "they did not have any television cable and they would have to run back to the shop to get some." (This was 1 1/2 hours later - the time it took them to attach the mount to the television consisting of 10 screws!)  I told them that I had to be back at work at noon and that I did not have time to wait for them to return. I then requested that they just mount the television to the wall.  They did do that, however, I would have to purchase a longer cable and now install the cable myself since they did not come prepared.  They then proceeded to install the other mount.  It was the same process - they installed upside down and had to reinstall upon my instruction. They screwed the mount to the wall, affixed a wall plate to my cable outlet and ran electricity up the wall from an outlet 3 feet beneath it.  Again, this took approximately 1 1/2 hours. On top of this, they left the dirt/mess on my floor for me to clean up.  At his point, I had to call someone to come to my house since I had to return to work. I gave this individual one of my checks to pay them. When I got home and reviewed the bill, Rick had billed me for 10 hours of labor and $30 material (of which totaled $8.59 at Lowe's) plus tax! I called Rick to question him about the bill and was a real jerk. He indicated that he should not have sent his two workers that the next time he would do the job himself. There will never be a next time! I did send a Complaint to the BBB and Rick was even more abusive and argumentative.  There was no resolve to this dispute.  I would NEVER hire this company again. I later hired another electricial to complete the job, which was impeccable and reasonably priced.

The technicians did an excellent job and went so far as to remove their work boots when they walked across my new hardwood floors.  Upon completion of their work, they thoroughly cleaned the area- and then some.

Couldn't have asked for more.

The guys who came to do the job were great. The owner is not.
