Tom's Tree Care

Tom showed up on time, set up his work area and proceeded to fell the tree. He worked straight through until the job was done. He is polite and professional and his estimate was the lowest of all services called. I plan to use him again and would recommend him. One of my neighbors already has hired him for some tree pruning.

Went great. Showed up when they said they would and did the work. I realized while they were here that I needed more work done and they happily did it for an extra charge.

Tom was prompt and on time for the estimate as well as the work. Work was completed expeditiously and well.

I called him, he came out several days later for an estimate, which seemed fair. I asked him to please call me the day before he was coming so I could walk him through thinning the trees as I stated i was not sure how much I wanted off each tree until he started to thin them out. Each time he showed up, he only called m once. The only way I knew he was at my home when he worked was because my daughter called me and told me. because I live close to work, I was able to come home each time. Also, he said he would come on particular days, and he would not show. I even took the day off from work when he said he would come. He didn't, then said he would be at my home on a Saturday morning around 10. I changed my plans to meet him, and he never showed, I called, and he called my around 3ish, and said he wouldn't be coming that day. I then clearly stated that I wanted him to let me know if and when he would come. At that time, I had had enough, I called other contractors to hire hopefully one of them, and then Tom showed up unannounced on Monday, my daughter called, I ran home again. I was able to saty for a while and walk him through the project. When he left, he had stacked the tree up in the middle of my yard on the grass, and did not want to take the wood, although he had initially said he would. I told him he had to take it. Also, when he said he was finished, I saw dead wood in one tree he had not taken. So, that Friday he called and wanted to pick up the check around dinnertime. I said I would not pay him until he finished the job. I came home, and he was picking up the tree on the lawn, and then took out the dead branches. He also missed several limbs on a tree that were on the estimate. At this point, I just wanted him done with everything, and did not suggest he cut those limbs. additionally, he left my ladder he used on the lawn, did not put it back, and did not move the swing back where it was. After the fact, because his pricing is so good, I might hire him back, but with lots of wariness.
