We made our reservation at least 2 months in advance. We were staying 2 nights. We were quoted the price of their corporate rate at $150.00 per night. It was a thorough discussion because we were trying to determine the best rate. We had a pleasant discussion about it will be Easter weekend,Good Friday when we arrive.
When we arrived on Friday the second of April, we were told the price was $169.00 a night, not $150.00. The cold receptionist told us the corporate rate does not apply on the weekends. I had my reservation number which she refused to acknowledge or check. It was either pay the rate or find somewhere else. We had just driven 6 hours and it was late, so we had no choice. We asked to speak with the manager and she smugly told us they would not be in until Monday.
So we found our room, which was up a set of stairs. The lounge was directly at the foot of the stairs with a piano playing. Is this the best we could do by making our reservations 2 months in advance? So back down to the lobby. We moved up one floor in front of the open staircase and we could still hear it.
Wrapping up my complaint, bait and switch is not nice. If it's necessary that you stay here, you should get a printed copy or an email of the quote you were given on the phone, in advance.
So there is no confusion, our Angie's list account is in my husbands name and the reservation was in my name which is different.
