I went because of the reviews and because I don't have a welder. My muffler rusted off at the flange. The muffler is in good condition. I told them I wanted it welded back on. Instead, I found out they charged me $140 (before tax) because they took the easy way out and just swapped muffler for a new one and a simple clamp down on the tail pipe. I wanted a piece of pipe welded on my muffler and then they could of clamped that other end on the tail pipe. Even though he tried to sell me other parts of the exhaust system, I just let him know to attach the muffler back on. Best interest of customer: D Personality: D Waiting Room: D Compassion: F Price: D (They charged me for something I didn't ask for) Make sure you repeat over and over again what you want done, because about 4 times I had to give him the year of the car throughout the 1 hour of work.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MARTY'S MUFFLER & WELD SHOP IN NORTH VERSAILLES, PA! I have taken my car there 4 times over the past few years, and they do extremely high quality work for a fair price, and they are very honest--qualities that are rare these days! They're one of the few places in the greater Pittsburgh area that actually does welding and can help you avoid replacing your car's entire exhaust system, or at least buy you some extra time with your existing system--thus saving you a ton of money. Marty's gave me an estimate last week of $120 to repair some holes in my car's exhaust system. Today I took my car in for my appt. with them, and it ended up costing only $53.50 because my car didn't need as much work as they originally thought. I freaking LOVE Marty's!!! And the people who work there are all very nice. You can stop in anytime and get a free estimate--if you have a little time to wait for them to check your car. (They will squeeze you in for a quick evaluation and estimate in between the other customers with appointments.) The waiting room is small and not fancy, but who cares when you are getting such an excellent service at a fantastic price? It was a beautiful July day, so I just sat outside in the parking lot next to the shop while they worked on my car. Marty's will not try to sell you parts you don't need. They are extremely honest. They will only do the work you need done and for a fair price. I will be getting all of my muffler, exhaust, or frame repair work done at Marty's for the rest of my life. I will never go anywhere else for this type of work. They have a loyal and grateful customer in me! Do yourself a favor, and check them out next time your car needs muffler, exhaust, or frame work. Took it to Marty's on a Saturday; Marty was off, but you would have never known it, the staff did a great job. Got there half an hour before their normal start time 7 am and was around 8th in line. It is first come, first served on Saturday's at least. Crew started to work early and they got to my car a little after 8 and car was done by 8:30. Cost 90 dollars plus tax. Great service at a more than fair price, Highly recommend.

This shop operates on a first come first served basis. The guys worked quickly on all of the cars and my car was fixed in less than an hour including wait time. I was told by another repair shop that the entire exhaust system needed replaced. The crew at Marty's was able to repair the system at a fraction of what it would have cost to replace. I would highly recommend Marty's Muffler and Welding.

In and out in less than an hour despite it being busy by 7am. Drove here from Crafton to save ~$800 compared to a national chain. Friendly service - the owner seems extremely honest and fair. Top notch. Don't expect a fancy waiting room - you'll be hanging out on a stool in the corner of the chilly industrial shop floor. But the service and end product more than make up for it. I enjoyed the entire experience.

This place was wonderful. Went on a Saturday, which is first come first serve so get there early. Got there at 7:30, our turn was up around 9:00, car was finished within 30-35 minutes! Very professional, repaired the hole rather than replacing entire exhaust which saved us! Fast, quality work. Will go again for other repairs if ever needed.

Honest shop and mechanics period!  No, they didn't have the greatest news for me but they did tell me the truth (unlike some previous "chains" had done about what was really wrong with my car.)  They fixed ALL my problems, they fixed it fast and for half the price of everyone else. Super polite & professional.  They will have all my future business. I've already referred them to several friends and family.

Went to Marty's Muffler for hole in Flex Pipe.  Hole could not be welded not enough room to weld. Could of charged me for new Flex Pipe which would of cost a lot more. They opted to just remove Flex Pipe and weld straight Pipe. They saved me Money and would highly recommend there Service.  Defiantly will use their service in the future. 

Had a problem with check engine light going on.  My mechanic connected the diagnostic computer and said it was the catalytic converter.  He was not equipped to install a convertor.  Took car to Meineke. They said it was the oxygen sensors after I told them it was probably the convertor.  They quoted a price for the convertor of over $900.  They said we should try the sensors.  They installed two oxygen sensors.  The light came back on immediately.  My mechanic said that they installed aftermarket sensors and that only Chrysler factory, model specific, sensors should have been used.  I told the mechanic at Meineke this and first he said no, but when he checked with someone he agreed that only Chrysler sensors would work.  I took the car back to my mechanic because I was done with dealing with Meineke.  My mechanic ordered Chrysler sensors and installed them, but said that I probably still needed a convertor.  The light went out but in about two weeks it came back on.  I took the car to Marty's Muffler.  They stated a price which was less than the competition by several hundred dollars.   I made an appointment for the following week. They ordered the part.  They installed the part when they said they would, and at the agreed price. Check engine light went out and stayed out.

Marty's Muffler did a great job for us.  The Subaru dealer wanted over $1,000 to replace exhaust system components "flange to flange"".  Marty's instead welded in quality sections to repair the problem areas.  He also tack welded heat shield sections that had been annoyingly noisy for years, even after other shops had worked on them.  Highly recommended.

I got several quotes to replace the exhaust system. The three other muffler stores I called either had to order a muffler or could not fit into our schedule. Estimates ranged from $600-300. We took the car to a big name company and were told that the system (including the muffler) needed to be replaced from the catalytic converter on back.  I called Marty's they gave a quote on the phone and said to bring the car right over.  When we picked up the car Jason said the muffler was stainless steel and did not need to be replaced.  We paid WAY LESS than we would have and the guys did a great job.  The car needed also needed a part for the exhaust system that Marty's was able to weld to fit.  I was extremely pleased to find an honest shop. They did fast work, were right on (turned out even lower)on the estimate and were able to do the work on the same day.  I would highly recommend them for any muffler/welding work.  Don't be put off by the appearance of the shop, it does look dirty- but they work on dirty things.  I'd rather drop my car off and pay a few hundred less than sit in a fancy waiting room having coffee and watching TV till the car is finished.  Thanks Again Marty's if the exhaust falls off the other car you'll see me again!

Very efficient and honest. Lowest price I found after calling several places. Would recommend for muffler and exhaust work that needs welding.

We have taken both of our vehicles to Marty's a few times recently. Each time, they were able to take us that day or within a few days. Repairs were done quickly and efficiently, and best of all, very reasonably priced. Our first experience with them was on a referal from a Toyota dealership. Marty's replaced the catalytic converter on our car the day after we called them. It was done in about 1 hour and they came to our home (1 mile away) to pick up my husband to come and get the car. They replaced a serpentine belt on our truck the day we had it towed in. They fixed a fan relay switch and 2 burned out radiator fans and only charged us for the actual time of labor, not additional hours of trying to find the exact source of the problem. Most recently, they replaced rear brake shoes, sway bar links and bushings and rear struts on our car. This was done the day we brought it in, and again was very reasonably priced.

Need a complete exhaust system. I have a older car, it was not a problem getting pipes.Car runs great!!!
