Head of company came to house to provide a cost estimate, scheduled mutually agreeable appointment time, made repairs within the time frame promised, coordinated with gas utility to arrange for inspection of the completed work, and completed all necessary paperwork.

Excellent. He explained what he was going to do. He could have started the next day, but I delayed the work because I thought my home owners insurance or my mine subsidence insurance would cover the job. Unfortunately, neither did. His company came out and did the work in a professional manner. Within 2 days, I had gas. My gas would have been turned on sooner, but the gas company delayed coming until the next day.

I smelled gas outside my house, and rather than call the gas company and have them just shut me down, I called Banks. They promptly came out that afternoon, and agreed there was a gas smell. He quoted me the price over the phone and the team came out the next day. They dug one hole at the street, one at the house and ran a pipe in. They also replaced all the rusted pipes and had a new gas meter installed. I left them a key and they went in and re-lit all the pilot lights for me.

I called Tom Wednesday at 8pm after discovering inside and outside gas leaks. (I didn't have the gas line insurance; make sure you buy it!). He answered the phone immediately. We arrange for him to come to the house Thursday a.m. to review the scope of the project. Tom arrived and immediately recognized the challenge of the job due to prior remodeling in the house. The gas meter had to be moved outside and he was upfront and honest about the options, short of tearing up my brick front porch. He left at 10:30am and said he'd have a bid ready in an hour. I called him at noon. Once I got the bid, I asked him if he could start that day since I didn't have heat or hot water! He called me back in 30 minutes to tell me a crew would be at my home before 2pm! His 2 man crew immediately started the job and worked non stop for 7 hours to complete the job, without break, food, etc. They contacted the gas company prior to leaving the job and gas service was restored at 11:30pm!

I was informed on a Tuesday night that my gas line was condemned by Columbia gas. Called Tom that night and he actually answered! He said he would come by the next morning and give me an estimate. He did that (lower than other 2 estimates I got). The next day (Thursday) his guys showed up promptly at 9am and got to work. They were very personable and professional. The job they did was top notch and they actually didn't have dig up the entire yard! Great job!

INITIALLY, I RECEIVED THREE ESTIMATES ON THE WORK TO REPAIR EXTERIOR GAS LEAK. BANKS WAS THE LOWEST. THEY SPECIALIZE IN REPAIRING GAS LEAKS. VERY PROFESSIONAL, CALLED TO CONFIRM ESTIMATE APPOINTMENT. ARRIVED ON TIME. WHEN I ACCEPTED THEIR ESTIMATE, THEY DID THE WORK QUICKLY AND WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS OR SURPRISES. NO ADDED OR HIDDEN COSTS, I PAID EXACTLY WHAT WE HAD AGREED ON. MY GAS COMPANY WAS ALSO HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK WHEN THEY CAME TO CHECK IT AND TURN THE CURB VALVE BACK ON. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH OVERALL CONTACT.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY EFFICIENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY PROVIDED STATE-OF-THE-ART MATERIALS AND CAREFULLY WORKED WITHIN THE EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE. THOROUGHLY CHECKED FOR ANY GAS LEAKS AND RELIT ALL APPLIANCES. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THEIR SERVICES
