Matt Pontzloff and the team at Bell Construction absolutely crushed it on this job. I was in a bad spot where a local handyman left my siding job less than half done and ran with the money. Matt got me a great price, the team was able to get the job done in less than a day using the materials I had already purchased for the last guy. They started and finished within a week or so of signing the contract. Not a lot of contractors would pick up a job like this that some other less than qualified individual left but Bella really stepped up and helped me out in a big way with high quality work. They even went back and fixed the horrible work the last guy left me with. Great company, great people, great work.

Matt made sure my Hail Storm Roof claim and repair went threw without issues. Great service and the roof looks awesome.

Bella Contruction was by far the best price. Quality and customer service did not suffer a bit for it. The project was underway much sooner than expected. John the project manager and Dwayne the production manager communicated all aspects of the job well and were very responsive when I reached out. A few minor issues on the back end of the project were quickly resolved to my satisfaction with just a phone call. Not only would I highly recommend but I would not hesitate to work with Bella and the gentleman on my project in the future.

Not licensed. I had siding done by this company on one of my rental properties in 2019. Six months ago I received a letter from the city saying I needed to appear in court because a permit was never pulled. I have been going back and forth with Nick (I believe the owner) on getting this resolved. The city told me they don't have a license to do the work. I asked for them to get the permits they forgot to get but this was their official response. "As a rule of thumb, homeowners are responsible for permitting and licenses needed to complete the job unless prior arrangements have been made with both parties. At this point, Bella Construction cannot assume responsibility for a neglected permit two years after the job was completed." To anyone paying them a lot of money (My project was 30k), you'll need to get your own permits. The permit rule isn't new, you always needed to have a permit but Nick tried telling me that was implemented after they completed the work. Not an honest business. Update: They have a 1-year warranty only on their product. Pittsburgh is a windy city and 3 years after their work, panels started falling off the side of the building and when asked about getting them put back on, they wanted $250/hr.

They attached the gutters to the downspout which caused ice to form and gather . If the gutters where installed under the gutter, as they should be, there would be no problem. You can clearly see that ice forms behind the gutter. The gutters are put on incorrectly. When contacting the business, they preferred to attack me as a person and said that I harassed them, which I did not. They must have me confused with another dissatisfied customer. I would NEVER recommend this company. 3,000

Horrible company to work with. They were very active in responding to communications when they were selling the job (primarily as storm-chasers) and then once the job was sold their customer service dropped into the bucket. Horrible experience with both Matt (the owner) and Ed (the representative). They stopped returning phone calls or emails when it came time to any questions about the work done, scheduling, etc. They are quick to ask for payment though. Never again and I warn you away.

Horrible experience. The subcontractor over charged for the construction. He used lumber from the "scrap" pile at Home Depot as evidenced by the purple stripes on the unused pieces he scattered around the yard. The structure failed inspection 5 times. Numerous problems found post construction. The owner Matt is very rude. He told me that this subcontractor is not affiliated with Bella, however, the money/receipt and contract state Bella. When I reached the owner by phone, he first hung up on me. Ona a second phone call, he stated that he did not make any money on my project and now this is not his problem. He refused to come correct issues, then made an appointment to come look at the issues and never showed up !! Tried to call and got a voice mail box that was full. Ladies in office are rude!!! They have a smooth talking salesman named Chris, be leary of him. He tells you what you want to hear, very convincing. Very shoddy, cheap work. Left nails screws and various pieces of construction material through out the yard. I'm still finding them. Would never recommend them to any one, a real rip -off. I have since filed a complaint with the attorney general's office and have spoken to my local magistrate. Sarina

A roof was constructed over the deck. Poor quality and craftsmanship. The sub contractor used lumber from the "scrap" pile at Home Depot as evidenced by the purple stripe on the spare pieces he left scattered around my yard. The structure failed inspection five times. Sub contractor also used warped lumber for the project and was very messy with his work. I am still finding nails, screws and other pieces of scrap throughout the yard, deck and patio. He had mud on his boots and tracked it throughout my garage (which I had to clean after he left each time). He also stood on my patio chairs with his muddy boots (muddy prints on the chair). He was unprofessional. Following "completion" of the project, numerous issues were later found. I contacted the owner of the company , Matt. He was very rude. He stated that it was no longer his problem and he made no money on the job. He also stated that the subcontractor was not affiliated with Bella, however, the contract and receipt state Bella Construction. He agreed to come look at the issues, but never showed up. When I called his voice mailbox was full. Ladies in the office mean and rude. Also be leary of their salesman Chris, he is smooth talker and very convincing. He did come to look at the issues, unlike Matt. He agreed the work was shoddy, said he'd send a crew to fix issues and never showed. That was two months ago. I have filed a complaint with attorney general's office and have spoken to the local magistrate.

Workers were excellent - fast and very clean. Field supervisor was OK. Office personnel was HORRIBLE. Rude, unorganized and very nasty. If you can just hire the workers, do so, but avoid the office lady at all cost. Really left me with a bad impression of the company.

I was very satisfied with the roof as I inspected it. They did an A+ job with my roof.

We met Mike from Bella Construction at the home show in February 2017. Today, June 16, the work was finally completed after 3 different workers and many phone calls to management. The work was shoddy, completed by sub contractors (which the company told me they did not use). Finally, today two men finished the job. Upon calling Matt, the owner, I wanted to compliment the two men that came today and said had they done the initial work, perhaps it would have been completed correctly. I also said I wish I could have hired them independently after seeing the quality of their work. Matt said I was rude and hung up on me. I would never recommend this company.

It did not go well at all. I would not hire this company again. My wife and I met Dave Arledge at the Pittsburgh Home Show in March. He came to the house a few days later to give an estimate. The price seemed reasonable so I signed off on the contract on April 18th and paid the deposit. Dave said the work would be done in about three weeks. I called the office at the end of May to make sure that we were still on their schedule. No issues. I called again in June. No response. Finally at the end of July, I started getting concerned that something was wrong. I called the office and Jermery pulled my file and said that Matt, the owner, would need to call me on Monday. I called the office first thing Monday morning. Matt was going to call me back. He didn't. I called Dave Arledge on Tuesday. He was surprised that the work was not done yet and said that he would find out what happened and call me back. He didn't. I called the office and Dave later on Tuesday and again on Wednesday. No reply. I called again Friday morning (August 5th) and was told that they were going to refund my deposit. I asked why. Carla, the office manager, said that she did not know why and that Dave and/or Matt would call me. If and when that happens, I will update this review.

Everyone involved in the project was friendly and professional. They were very careful to clean up all debris at the conclusion of the job. The final result was a beautiful new roof with no issues. The only negative was they arrived about 45 min. later than they initially stated, but they still managed to finish on time. Very happy.

They did a really good job. They did the whole job in one day. It looks so good. No problems, no leaks.

The roof was completed to satisfaction ~1 month after contract.  The fact that the roof seems fine is why Quality is a D.  In fact, if we had only contracted the roof, the experience may have been a positive one.

Although much of the deck was completed after ~4-6 weeks, it has not been completed to date (4 months have passed). The deck was assembled with very poor quality and is still missing some railings on the stairs (serious safety hazard and has made it tough for our 2 year old to play outside this summer). After complaining several times and sending photos of issues with the work to the company, the owner did visit the job site.  He was extremely argumentative and dismissive of our complaints at first, but did begin to accept that the quality was poor and that the work needed to be finished.  He promised his team would be back within 2 weeks to fix several of the issues with quality and to finish the railing. After six weeks no one has returned and the company has stopped responding to my requests for more information.  

One day to do all work. Be other prices by 4000.00 , quality people.

Justin Provided a quote and work began with 2 weeks. The crew performing the work were prompt, professional and cleaned up thoroughly, the roof looks perfect!

Overall we were very pleased with the project as a whole.    Weaknesses in the processes were primarily with the back office and we were extremely happy with our salesman and installation crew.
Sales / Bid
Mike Dzugan was an excellent salesman.  He arrived on time and was dressed very professionally.  He took time to explain the product available including providing us with samples that I could show my husband later as he was unable to be present for the estimate.  He took measurements, pictures, and provided me with a bid on the spot.  He explained every step of the expected installation and provided thorough explanations of each charge we would receive.  He communicated clearly through the entire bid acceptance process and provided instructions on how to make a down payment and schedule. 
Scheduling
This process was pretty poor in my opinion.  We were given an estimated installation date at the time payment was made.  After that was given, we never once received a call of when they intended to begin the work.  I called before every estimated date and was only told then that they were pushing back again.  This was extremely frustrating as we had to continuously rearrange work schedules so that someone could be home for the installation only to find out at the last minute that it was being pushed back again.  Our installation did not take place until nearly a month after our initial estimate and almost seven weeks after our contract was signed.  At the time of the contract, we were estimated to start in three weeks.
Installation
The crew onsite to do the installation was wonderful.  They were extremely professional and polite.  They showed the utmost respect for my home and ensured they cleaned up their work every day.  They used care around our personal effects outside and always made sure to ask me if they could help reinstall outdoor lighting or other items moved for the installation.  They worked hard and you could tell they cared about the work they were doing.  My neighbors interracted with many of the men during the installation and commented on how kind they were and that they were doing extremely good work.
I was disappointed with the youngest individual onsite on day 2 of our installation and he also performed the clean up once the work was completed.  He often was sitting around playing on his cell phone while the others worked.  He also set up a truck that blocked the entrance to my neighbors home while he cut the gutters.  This was clearly going to be an issue and there was no reason to be that close to my neighbors home with ample space in front of my house.  When he asked me questions about the work being performed, he couldn't communicate well and it was very frustrating as these were basic things he should have known based on the contract.  Had he been there on the first day or come during the bid we would have not signed with Bella.
Overall Review
The quality of the materials and the end product were wonderful.  We are extremely pleased with how it looks and have received numerous compliments.  We have already recommended Bella to friends and family and it has only been one day.  I can live with the poor communication because the installation process was painless.  We will definitely consider Bella again for future projects when the time comes.

They did a great job for us. The last company that did the roof cut corners and did things like leaving rotted old boards. This company made sure that the work was done properly. Further, they went the extra mile to make sure we made informed decisions about the products that we used. Mike Dzugan, the consultant/estimater that we were working with,  even went as far as driving us around the city to show examples of what we could get done. It was a top notch outfit.

When the job was completed they did a beautiful job. Great attention to detail, my parents house looks like a new one was built. They definitely would use them again, and recommend them to others. They also did a great job with the clean up. Took a while but definitely was worth it. Great job Bella Construction!

I had contacted Bella Construction to get an estimate for a new roof for a house I had recently purchased.  His estimate was the lowest of all other estimates.  He also told me he could have it finished in 1 day.  This was the deciding factor (more important that price), because it was the beginning of January, and it needed done before any major snowstorms hit.  Good thing I decided to get it done in the wintertime, and not wait until spring.  The decking underneath the roof was destroyed, and the flashing around the chimney was causing leaks.  I really liked that they took pictures while they were up there and texted them to me. 
It took them 1 day, and they worked in cold conditions.  The moved really quickly.  They were also very clean and neat, and picked up all of the old shingles. 
I would definitely recommend and I would use them again. 

when weather cooperated all went well here within 1/2 hour of time given. sometimes early.  great clean up
