PEST CONTROL TECHNICIANS

Beware they will take your money and not care if they remedy the pest issue only that you signed a contract and they are within their contract. I called pest control technicians to remove a ground hog that is coming up on my deck and taking home under my deck. When I talked to the sales representative about the removal she talked a great sales speech about their experience removing ground hogs. When I asked the sales representative what happens if you can't catch the ground hog she reassured me stating they have amazing bait and they always are catch within a week. They make you pay and sign a contract prior to a technician even being scheduled to come to your property. When the technician came out to lay the traps the amazing bait was a head of iceberg lettuce. No mention about my property size and hiding locations. They tried unsuccessfully to catch the ground hog for a little over a week. I was told to call the office by the technician multiple times to see what the next steps were after the first five days and when they gave up. Once they gave up they informed us that our property is quiet large and there are too many hiding spots that they are unable to catch the ground hog. It took multiple unreturned phone calls over a week and a half to finally speak with the owner. He issued a $100 refund on a $420 bill. Beware that if hiring a pest removal company talk to a company that sends a sales representative out to your house and will give you a hopefully honest and upfront assessment.

I was paying them monthly and they did not come out for the service. I was not happy with their service.

Summary: I was scammed by this company and talked into purchasing a comprehensive, long term service. Most of of the services promised were not preformed. The fraction of the services which actually were preformed were not as described. After canceling, the suddenly started billing me, claimed I did not cancel, and informed me that the remainder of my contract is being sent to collections after i insisted that I did. Details: I had a representative out to my home regarding a rat living in the walls and a small ant problem. I was told there would be an outside and inside inspection, they would look at the roof for entry points. I was also told the service technician would treat the inside and outside of my home for insects with a pet and child safe chemical. I agreed to a very expensive 2 year plan with them. The technician came out, installed three wooden rat traps, threw an unknown poison randomly around in my attic, then sprinkled more poison all over by patio and in front of my house. Those poisons came out of unlabeled ziplock bags. Only after I asked about the ant treatment, did he give me 6 homemade ant baits and told me to put them where I want. There was no exterior or interior inspection. There was interior treatment of any kind have an unknown poison strewn throughout my attic. After calling the office, the service manager called back and offered to send a different technician the next day to complete the service as described. The next day the same technician showed up, and placed two more rat traps next to the other 3. He again preformed no inspections inside or out. When I asked about about insect treatment, he told me could not treat anywhere that my dog or child can access. This after I was told by the salesman that all chemicals would be child and pet safe. At this point I called the office of Pest Control Technicians to can cancel the service. The woman who answered said she was sorry to hear I wanted to cancel and she would take care of it. Fast forward 3 months, my card is charged a monthly fee all of a sudden. When I contact PCT to remind them that I canceled, the response was you did not cancel and cannot cancel. When replied with an insistence that I did indeed cancel, I was abruptly told that my account is being sent to collections.

I own and operate a restaurant and pub and prior to dealing with PTC all other companies we very insufficient with their performance. Since signing on with PTC our facilities have been in impeccable shape. Their technicians are thorough and professional. they have their own unique procedures that WORK! They stay on top of us and believe me, if we are slacking in our part of the recommendations they will not hesitate to drop us. Seriously. I call that dedication to their own standards. My recommendation is unsolicited and completely authentic. The companies I have used in the past are national corporate companies that don't stand a chance next to this type of dedication and service.
