Frank Summerill

Went fair.. But 60 days later they came back to put on a sealer for additional money that was never in the contract. Just make certain you know the full cost when dealing with them. Driveway did not ware very well.

The paving went fine however it was rather difficult to get a hold of Mr Summerill at times and he did not return calls.  there were two issues stemming from my experience with this provider.  First and foremost, I referred a friend to Summerill immediately after the work was completed.  The friend made a deposit of $2k at the request of Frank Summerill.  Summerill kept the deposit and then proceeded to not complete the work, telling my friend for months "I'm having trouble, I'll get to you" and similar statements but never did and refused to send the deposit back when requested.  It is now roughly 3 years later and I have observed Summerill in a brand new pickup truck multiple times around town so he is still clearly in business but never bothered to return my friend's deposit or complete the job.  
The second issue was the mess the workers left behind leaving concrete forms and trash all over my property.  I had to call Summerill multiple times to come pick up the concrete forms (I picked up the trash) left behind and on more than one occasion he promised they would come and they did not which made me continue to call until he did come to get them.  He basically made me harrass him to get him to do it.  My friend gave up calling after a long while because it became obvious that Summerill intended to keep the $2,000 and not do the work and he simply wanted to just move on sadly.  I would not by any stretch recommend dealing with this provider.

My driveway is complete but the job dragged on for about a month. Aesthetically it looks good, but I cannot recommend this provider.  He was very friendly at first and gave me a good price, but as the job went on I got excuse after excuse as to why he could not finish the installation. Also, each time I asked questions in reference to how the job would be done, I got very snippy answers, and was told to "just leave it to him he knew what he was doing".  In-fact the very issues that I was asking about, have turned out to be problems;  I have major pooling of water in these areas every time it rains!  This pooling has lead to other issues that now need to be addressed, involving surrounding concrete, siding and wooden structures of the house .

Just a terrible experience. Very attentive at first with a reasonable estimate. But then one delay after another, one excuse after another. Then more work (and more money) was needed. Then it took almost a whole year to get the "free" seal coating done. Then when part of the driveway sunk he said it wasn't his fault. Little did he know I had a Pen Dot inspector look at it. Bottom line, lousy prep work. More money, more time and more excuses later He redid half the driveway to get rid of "Lake Summerill". I was so sick of calling him and listening to his lies. This driveway will never last. Do not call this man.

High quality beautiful work. Price was really good and very competitive. Did all the right work to make it look great. 

He is an older guy, that comes across a bit rough but his work is A+.

We had several estimates and his prices were very comparable. Overall, we thought he was very reliable.

Frank responded to my request for an estimate promptly and completed the work within the range of dates provided. The quality of the work done was good and overall I had a good experience.

He did a good job. The work was fantastic and I was pleased with the service. They were on time, friendly, and made sure to answer all of my questions.

FRANK CAME AND MADE SURE ALL THE WORK WAS DONE IN A SATISFACTORY WAY. HE EVEN ASKED ME IF I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE WORK.
