Scheduled 2 separate jobs for concrete work with Rich last spring 2016. The first was scheduled following my deposit of approximately 1/2 and finally completed on the last day allowed by my township. While there were challenges getting it done on time it was finally completed and Rich received the balance due that same day the concrete was laid and paid in cash. It should be mentioned it took a few weeks for it to actually be finished by removing the framing etc. which customarily marks the completion of concrete work. As it turns out the permit I paid for was never taken out as I learned when my township inspector came to my house to inform me roughly 2 months later. Regardless the 2nd concrete project was planned and I delivered my $2000 deposit in cash on July 12th. There were a few contacts between us to work out the details and date for this next job over about a month or so and then all communication stopped. Phone messages, emails and texts went unanswered. Being a small business person myself I was inclined to give DeMarco Family Roofing a chance to perform. Well live and learn. Here it is December 10th and nothing. My messages over the fall went from continuing to attempt getting the work done but changed of course to having my money refunded. I finally got a contact a few days ago with a story of biz difficulties that ended with a promise to deliver a bank check the following day (8 Dec). Even a request, on the promised day of delivery, for my sons phone number since he would be there to receive the refund. Well the 8th came and went and attempts at contact returned to unanswered as they had for several months before. Well now I need to make notice of DeMarco Family Roofing's poor performance official and take other steps to have my money returned.
