"I am sorry [Member Name Removed] that you still have the feeling that you need to put down AES after our technicians and I have rectified your concerns. There are 2 opinions to this situation. How [Member Name Removed] acted over the phone and in my showroom was not respectful and was disruptive and forced me, Rick Soccio, to involve the local PD and my attorney for assistance and intervention to resolve your concerns. AES did changeout a few components to the chimney and connector pipe that after further review did show adequate overlap and connection. Also after review, [Member Name Removed] was operating the stove without the catalyst, an essential/ required part in the stove, and over-firing the stove through improper dampering. I am sorry [Member Name Removed] that your experience with me and AES was less than exceptional. Per your request, AES will not perform any additional services for you, and you will have a different company perform maintenances on your chimney and stove. I truly wish you the best experiences from this point forward."
"I, Rick Soccio, owner of AES Hearth & Patio, am so glad that you were pleased with the Gas Fireplace and Eldorado stonework job. As the owner, I am very grateful for the skills that are provided by our staff and sub contractors. I am also thankful for the opportunity to bring customer's dreams to life. I am so glad it is the main focal point in your home. Please feel free to send us another picture to include in our album now that it is probably fully decorated."
"[Member Name Removed], I am very sorry that this was your experience with AES. As the owner of AES, I am/ was upset with the quality of work that you received. My lead sweep stated that he performed the sweeping from the top of the chimney and had his helper working in the house at the wood insert. He states that he must not have checked the top of the insert before leaving and thinking that his helper completed the inside work. That did not happen, but I assure you that this matter was discussed with him. He is a very respectful and trained technician, felt bad, and will certainly take better responsibility in the future. Thank you for allowing us to rectify the situation, and I understand your concern with our company and workmanship. If you would choose to use AES in the future, I would give you your next sweep at no charge. I want to earn your trust back, but again appreciate your concern. Rick Soccio/ Owner at AES Hearth & Patio"
"Thanks for your review [Member Name Removed]. Rick Soccio"
"I believe their negative response is toward [Member Name Removed]'s original contractor. All AES had done was install a cap onto the top of the chimney. Our total invoice with [Member Name Removed] was $260. We were not part of any court issues. Please remove this review as it does not pertain to AES Hearth & Patio. Rick Soccio/ Owner of AES"
Things started out fine. They came to the house for an estimate and to look at the chimney. Their price was higher than other estimates but they were the ones who could start work on it the soonest, so we went with them as winter was just around the corner. The initial person to come to the home was polite and professional. The techs that came to the house to install the new liner seemed helpful and professional enough, I never had a problem with anyone that came to the house. The problems started later.
When the techs installed the new chimney liner they knocked an entirely too large of a hole into the chimney itself and put a hole through into the garage floor. We were told that they'd have their contracted mason get in touch with us to repair the damages.
Days passed and we never heard anything. We started calling AES who said they'd take care of it. More days went by and still no call from the mason. Days turned into weeks and still no mason. So we posted a negative review on this website because it is entirely our belief that if you are a business, whom you contract with directly reflects upon you. It is my belief that if AES was serious about their reputation they would have really looked into the matter of what was going on and why no mason had been in touch with us. In the end it turned out the mason was never dialing the correct number, but AES did NOTHING to speed the process along and did nothing to compensate us for waiting an entire month to have a functional chimney. We paid full price for everything. And they stopped returning our calls about midway into our complaining about wanting the job done.
They complained to us personally about our review and to the staff at Angieslist and went so far as so say someone else left the review. Not the case at all, both myself and my significant other use this same account and we were both really put off by AES and the way they treated us and conducted business. We will not be using them in the future and we did not buy our wood stove or have it installed by them. After all of this we will continue to use someone else.
