We asked if they had screened garden bedding soil and were assured they did. We ordered 3 cubic yards to be delivered to our driveway. They were able to bring it the same day which was a pleasant surprise. That afternoon a small dump truck arrived and backed into our driveway. The driver let me examine the soil before dumping. The section I could reach and see had the appearance of being screened. He dumped. We paid. He left. I began shoveling the soil into a barrow to bring around to the back yard garden. Then I began noticing seeds - legume seeds - LARGE legume seeds. I pulled them out as I shoveled. We mixed the soil into our existing garden soil. Low and behold, within a matter of weeks, all sorts of things began sprouting. Some easily identifiable, such as cilantro. Other plants I had to take photos of and send the pix to the Extension Service and even THEY had difficulty identifying them all. Besides cilantro I found peas and celery, but also nightshade, violets, galinsoga, and other non-edibles. Definitely NOT screened!
