It didn't go well. The gentleman came by to assess the repair and said he needed to order a part and that we should call back in a couple of days. Seemed simple enough. We then called back 3x in the next 10 business days to inquire about the status and schedule a follow up. Each time we called we left a message, and the receptionist told us she'd pass it along. She said we'd get a call back with more information shortly, yet we didn't receive a single call. I got the feeling that either our job wasn't big enough for him and/or that he simply didn't care about our needs. We ultimately wound up using a different company.

Prompt, courteous and professional. Could not be more pleased from the initial call to the finished repair.

The door has worked flawlessly since the install one month ago. Dennis also installed new sensors, wiring, and door sensors that were not part of the original quote at no charge (in fact, I don't think he was even going to tell me that he did it until I asked). The process of getting the quote was painless over the phone (I had previously called another local firm that wouldn't confirm a price, but gave me a wide range of possibilities. Overall, fantastic local company -- highly recommend.

Amazing.  Showed up the next day, and on time.  Fixed the door quickly and price was very reasonable.    Absolutely the best experience with getting work done on my house (which unfortunately I have a lot of) in years.  Would absolutely use them if I was buying a new door as well (they sell and repair).

Apparently this is something extremely rare to happen. I called in the late  morning and Newtown Garage Door was at my home by mid afternoon--great response time! They explained what they would do and completed the job very efficiently. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Our garage door works 'like new'! Above and beyond service/repair.  Needed a new spring yet entire door was serviced.  Very satisfied with the work completed.

He explained the costs of the repairs completely so that we were able to make an informed decision about whether to repair or replace. He had the parts with him to replace and did so in a short time. We were happy with the service he provided.

We were very pleased with our experience with Newtown Garage Door Company. They were very prompt getting back to us with each correspondence and we were lucky to be scheduled within a few days since we could not open the door. This was a single door installation which took about 2 hrs. Dennis cut the old door panels in half making it manageable for garbage collection which didn't take place for a few days otherwise he would have put everything at curbside.
Everything was left clean and neat and we are finally looking and quot;and quot;up to dateand quot; with our new, no handle, great quality garage door.
Love dealing with a family owned business, they take pride in their work and value their customers.

I called them on Monday 4/22/2013 and spoke to Ronnie. I had researched the opener and knew what unit I wanted. she gave me the price and scheduled my appt for 4/24 between 1:30 and 2:00pm.
Dennis arrived promptly at 2pm. He reviewed the work to be done and explained the installation process and exactly what work he was going to do. He got right to work and completed the job in 2 hours. He programmed the 2 remotes for our cars and the keyless entry remote that he carefully mounted on the panel next to the garage door.Great job from start to finish. The opener works great and is very very quiet. We can't hear it operating in the house at all.
I highly recommend this company and we would call them again.

I called Newtown Garage Door Co. from research on Angie's List. A spring snapped on my garage door the night before, and I didn't know if it could be repaired or if we needed a new door. Ronnie (mom), anwered my call and explained in detail what could be done, she was very helpful and informative. This is a family owned business so her son, Denis, arrived same day at 3:00 p.m. and replaced both springs in about 20 minutes. He was very polite and efficient. Job we done!

They were wonderful to deal with. I called on Monday and they came out on Tuesday, and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely use them again!!

Last month, our automatic garage door opener would almost close, then reopen. After making some adjustments to sensitivity and downward pressure that seemed to work for a couple of days, the problem returned. After further troubleshooting with the owners manual, I realized the gear chain was stretched out.
I called the Newtown Garage Door Co., which had originally installed the opener. Someone came out that day, agreeing that the chain needed to be replaced. He evaluated the entire door, and we agreed no other work was required. Within 90 minutes, he had replaced the chain and completed a and quot;tuneupand quot; on the motor and the door. While I suspect I could have gotten a lower price for the work, I was quite pleased because the Newtown Garage Door Co., I believe the quick diagnosis and completion of the work, as well as the quality of work, was more than worth it.

Newtown Garage Door was the third company that bid this job. They were the highest bid (by about $300) but I hired them without hesitation. They were pleasant to deal with, seemed more knowledgeable, and were punctual and professional every time I interacted with them. They used Clopay doors which, after researching the options, were the door I wanted.

I went with wood grain insulated doors for this heated garage. I used the existing, nearly new, opener. They replaced all of the track and installed new torsion springs. They managed to do all of that without damaging an old and fragile suspended ceiling in the garage.

The doors were special order and took nearly a month to come in - but they told me that beforehand. They arrived promptly on the scheduled day and managed to replace both doors by late afternoon. The installation seems to be excellent. The doors are good fit and they didn't put a scratch on them installing them. I was very pleased with the quality of their work.

They took away the old doors and old track. They left behind all of the packing material for the new doors and a garage door opener box (which was surprising, given that they didn't install an opener for me). The garage needed a good sweeping to clean up miscellaneous nuts, screws, nails, and saw dust - which I did when I got home.

I would certainly use them again and have already recommend them to friends.

I called them, they responded that day, came back the next day, and did the work. They were pleasant, competent, and easy to deal with. They didn't make a mess. I didn't compare prices although I thought it was a little high. They did the work efficiently, quickly, knew what they were doing, and came to do the when they said they would. I give them high ratings and would use them again in the future.

This company completed the original install of my 16 ft door and it has worked perfectly for ten years. Then on Sunday, we pressed the button on the Garage door and it did not open. Thought and quot;uh oh!and quot; time to replace the opener. Had to pull the traveler off the track, the whole bit, just to get the car out.

I put a call into Newtown Garage Door Co. Inc.on Monday morning and they were out the next day to repair it - not the opener, just a pulley thingy and a spring-a-ma-bob and presto it was fixed for under $200 bucks, a rarity these days. A truly enjoyable experience.
