They are the absolute "best of the best" contractors I have ever used. Excellent craftsmanship, fair-pricing, personable, knowledgeable about all matters related to home repair and kind. Out of a possible five stars, I would give them six if I could.

Paulâ s and his team are great. OCC has beautifully finished my 1000 sqâ basement with new bathroom. They have installed sliding glass doors. Full gut and remodel of main bathroom. Drywall work and painting of living room, kitchen, bedroom, and hallway. Pricing is always on point, work is always quality, and materials recommendations are great. I have referred friends and family to OCC.

Bathroom Remodel
We are so pleased with the work Paul and his associates did on our bathroom remodel. The work was completed in the time frame we were given at the start of the project. Everyone was respectful of our home and took great care to clean up everyday. Paul communicated with us on a regular basis about the work that was completed, any concerns he had, and what would be done the next day. Most importantly, the craftsmanship is high quality and we are beyond happy with the finished product.

Paul Kelly did an impressive job of completing renovating our kitchen, powder room, family room, and enclosing a patio to create a laundry room and mudroom in our Wayne home. He is an organized contractor who gets the job done right. After our unfortunate experiences with several sub-par contractors, I didn't think contractors like Paul Kelly still existed. We could not have been more pleased with Paul's outstanding ability to manage all aspects of this complex project, his exceptional workmanship, and his open, clear, and direct communication. He is a contractor who actually picks up his phone or promptly responds to texts or phone calls. We received daily updates at the end of each day to tell us what happened that day, and what was ahead in the next few days and weeks. He completed the job on time and on budget. It's a great feeling to know that if you drive by your house when Paul Kelly is your contractor, you can be assured that you will see trucks at your house. When I would come by at the end of the day, I could not believe how much they accomplished. In addition, his entire crew (Jim in particular) takes care of your house to ensure that the job site is tidy each day and it is was left in immaculate condition at the end of the project. Furthermore, Paul took care of the little annoying details like switching the doors on my washer and dryer without me even asking. But what I am most appreciative of is Paul's integrity and character. He is an honest man who takes pride in his work and he will do it right because that is the kind of man he is. He took care of us like we were his family. You don't get that kind of treatment these days. I look forward to having him return in the future to do other projects in our home.

Paul and his team were great! On time, on budget, and the finishing work was perfect. They used quality materials and were able to accomodate some design changes as the project was being completed. We added living room, bedroom/office, home gym, and storage (Bathroom coming soon) to an unfinished basement. Paul continues to be a great resource for all of our household questions.

Paul was a very nice but was not a good fit for our powder room remodeling job. I will take responsibility for not getting everything in writing which may have led to miscommunication. Only had him gut the room and since he failed to put up plastic, my downstairs was covered in dust.

"This customer took several months to schedule an appointment with our company after reaching out to HomeAdvisor for assistance on 06/18/17. We were told by the homeowners that other contractors were also giving estimates which is normal and I highly recommend this. Two bathrooms were assessed on initial appointment and we heard nothing for a few more months believing they had found a suitable contractor. Next up a follow-up phone call and now they are only interested in one small powder room. NO pressure to move on a project is ever applied to a potential customer to use our company. We have adequate work from other sources. It was discussed openly with the husband and wife team that it would be necessary for two men to do a demo on the powder room to investigate and decipher the extent of plumbing, electrical necessary to do a tight estimated proposal on the renovation. The powder room was aged and certainly needed more than cosmetics. I believe this was good advice and they were aware of the one day cost to demo ahead of schedule. The cost was certainly an issue and an assessment was necessary to provide a proper written estimate protecting both the homeowner and contractor. These customers lived in the residence, were present during the one day demo, and paid for the demo/trash removal for the 2 men for the day and did not complain while we were on site. We are very approachable and would have preferred the matter to be addressed at the time than after the fact. They mentioned using their own plumber and electrician for the project. Perhaps they were General Contracting their own project. I did give them the option of purchasing all the materials which I would pick up and they would only be responsible for the labor to complete the renovation which is sometimes favored by clients. They were given options. Unfortunately, it is not possible to do a complete demo without the dust disturbance particularly in a small powder room whilst removing debris. The good news is that all the nasty debris removal was complete for the next good fit contractor who came along. I hope that contractor minimized the dust to their satisfaction and they got the desired finished powder room that they wanted and on budget. I am disappointed that they felt the need to do any rating or review to maim our reputation for more than one year after initiating HomeAdvisor. As they stated the miscommunication was on them. I have never had any issue with my explanations to previous customers who I thank for their loyal reviews and repeat business. Unfortunately, it is not easy to make everyone happy all of the time. Hopefully, our company previous ratings and reviews represent our integrity and the high level of service we provide."

Paul and his crew stepped into a major reno/addition project that had gone awry. The original GC was fired and left behind poor work, open items, and frustrated homeowners. Paul was able to give us an open week between two projects with the commitment to complete as many items as possible. He did not disappoint and throughout the week was able to reestablish our trust in contractors and satisfaction with the project as a whole. Every morning Paul and his team were on site at 7am, they worked diligently through the day, and left our house tidy and clean each afternoon. Their work is terrific, they are thoughtful, and they are pleasant, good-humored guys. As the week came to a close, I was disappointed that we could not keep the momentum going but I will certainly have them back on site ASAP to tackle more projects. You can certainly trust your project, home, kids, and pets with these gentlemen. My only hesitation in providing a recommendation is that I do not want them to get SO busy that I can't get them back to do more for me!

Old Country Construction did a great job on our bathroom remodel. I was hesitant blindly selecting a contractor online, but this one was local, he responded within minutes of my filling out a service magic request, I met him in person that day, and we are 99.9% completed and he and his crew are professional,hard working, careful, knowledgable, trustworthy, and really looking out for the customer when it comes to making suggestions on items. We couldn't be more happy with the outcome!

We were extremely pleased. Always on time or even earlier, which was great!! They put in a new vanity and tile floor. The floor turned out perfect. After they finished the first job, I asked them to do some other jobs and they came back again. Very pleasant.

I would highly recommend Paul and Old Country Construction. He provided a reasonable quote (the exact same as others), but was friendly and a pleasure to deal with - no high pressure tactics! He showed up on time and although the project turned out to be much more extensive than he originally expected, he did not try to renegotiate the estimate. I will trust Paul to do more work on my house in the future, and would highly recommend him to others.

I am thrilled that we hired Paul Kelly and Old Country Construction. He quoted us an incredibly fair price and sought out the best deal on materials costs for us, which saved us a bundle, He finished a major overhaul of our deck in just two days (a full two days ahead of schedule) and remained on the job site doing the work with his crew for the duration of the project. He and his staff were polite, professional, trustworthy, and reliable. Best of all, our new deck is FABULOUS and a major improvement over what we previously had. I would definitely recommend him and would hire him again should the need arise. This company is a GEM!

Paul Kelly is outstanding in every way. You do need to know what design and choices for materials you're looking at. We hired a designer with very strong architectural skills and impecable but workable style skills. She helped us narrow down the look we were going for and Paul made it happen, even found high end materials for less money. Plus he arrived everyday, except for one crazy snow day. His crew even removed snow for us on two storms. I have recommended him to friends and will continue to do so. If you do not have a firm idea of what you want, do not call him and bother him with vagueness. I would give him a 6 out of 5 stars.
