We have used the services of Steve Nicholson for five different projects over the last 12 years including a remodeled bathroom and most recently, a kitchen. His quality of workmanship and attention to detail has always been there and never disappointed. All costs, labor and materials, are fully spelled out and his pricing structure is very transparent. I feel the price of his services is in line with the overall quality of his work. Another benefit to using Nicholson DK&B is the estimate for the date of job completion has always been very accurate. Although there are situations that can affect the timeline, a four week estimate is unlikely to take months. One of the main reasons for this is Steve and his team would arrive everyday on time. If there are any variations in the schedule, Steve is very good at contacting the customer with any updates.

Steve and his team did high quality work on two of our bathrooms. Our house is 95 years old and there was a lot of work that needed to be done to update all of the systems. I have used Mr. Nicholson’s services on four separate occasions over the past number of years including a refurbished bathroom and an upgraded finished basement and garage. All construction is of high quality with great attention to detail. Mr. Nicholson’s job completion schedule is typically very accurate, on time usually beginning and ending within a few days of his estimate. His prices are competitive and all labor and material charges are clearly spelled out. Excellent. We chose to completely gut the kitchen and redesign. Steve was immensely valuable in this. Steve's advice and knowledge really helped steer us on the right course and not make mistakes and saved us money. We worked with top notch kitchen designers for cabinets and counter-tops at his recommendation. He only works with reputable people. He knows his stuff and so do the people he works with. We put in a new floor, a new ceiling, new counter-tops with custom back-splash (which required extra attention) and of course new cabinets. The one counter-top design required custom carpentry from Steve which he did perfectly. The job started on time, cabinets came on time with no hassle, and the job finished on time. His crew is thorough, careful to details, clean and meticulous. Very professional. I highly recommend him. We are now planning our bathroom renovation!

First, Nicholson remodeled our kitchen. They are very professional and a pleasure with whom to discuss, plan, and work. Their craftsmanship is excellent! They work very efficiently and complete the work in a timely way. They clean up thoroughly each day. Nicholson did a such wonderful work, that we had them remodel our bathroom, as well. In addition, when our next door neighbor saw our remodeling, they hired Nicholson to remodel their kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Needless to say I highly recommend them.

Steve came by on the appointed day and time for an estimate. The work started when he said it would. His estimate of total time on the job was very close. Steve and his crew are craftsmen. They pay attention to every detail. The work was simply beautiful. (they left the house clean after every working day)

Nicholsons distinctive kitchen and baths completed an amazing kitchen! They did a complete gut down to the studs and knocked a wall down before rebuilding the kitchen. Steve guided us to professionals that helped us design our kitchen but also had wonderful ideas himself. The construction team that was in our house everyday was professional, respective, knowledgeable and good at their craft on site. Steve guided us as the construction was taking place if any needs arose. The whole team's attention to detail was excellent! I interviewed three contractors, sourced through Angie's List or personal recommendations, and Steve Nicholson was my pick. Thrilled with the finished product. Steve is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, reliable, exceptionally punctual, really meticulous, and a pleasure to work with. The job took about 2.5 weeks, started and finished on time. The cost of the job was VERY well estimated and came out right on target. I was consulted about alternatives when we discovered "surprises" behind the old wallboards, and I always knew what the design and cost impacts would be. The Nicholson Kitchens and Bathrooms team, including subcontractor electrician and plumber, was pleasant to have in the house -- even during demolition! -- and scrupulous about cleaning up at the end of every day. The quality of workmanship is very high, and I would hire Steve Nicholson and his team again in a minute.

Steve and his crew always do very high quality work. They take time doing it so that it looks exactly right. They do the extra steps too to make my kitchen look new again. Steve made the new drawers in his woodshop and they look really high grade. We decided to reface the cabinets because they were so well made. He bought doors and drawers fronts to match existing woodwork in the rest of the house, he painted them. He painted the face of the shelves inside and even painted the rest of the wood showing in the kitchen to match. It looks brand new. The tile work they did in the bathroom and kitchen is really perfect. I cannot find any flaws. The floors are tight and the finishing touches around the edges make it look beautiful. We are extremely pleased with the work Steven and his crew did and would definitely hire them again.

Steve and his men are top notch craftsmen and professionals. I have worked with a lot of contractors, and he was superb with everything. They had to do some custom cabinet work and they did a terrific job.

He took my kitchen which was from 1965; it was very outdated. I had several come in to look at the project. Steve's price was comparable with the rest. We set up a contract for the basic work. He was very open minded and flexible on the project. My house now seems more open. He had some reliable people to do plumbing, electrical, etc. They all did great work. He left alot up to us as far as the selections and style. He worked with us. It looks fantastic! I would highly recommend him.

It's not often you find a craftsman nowadays who's committed to high-quality work. Steve helped us reach our goals within budget, and did everything well. He is honest and does what he says when he says it. His team is likewise committed to high quality, keeping everything clean and providing great customer service. These are people you want to work with again. 1. Steve helped us plan for the right cabinets, maximize the space and create a nice finished look in the kitchen. 2. They made a small pantry feel spacious, look good next to our beautiful kitchen and managed to satisfy both our Moms (who live with us). 3. The space in the back stairwell was converted into a large closet upstairs, a decorative/handy utility closet in the kitchen and a much safer walkway to the upstairs sunroom.

Steve is a hard, conscientious worker who provides the best services available. He and his workers worked cleanly and efficiently. Steve showed up exactly on the date and time promised. He and his crew did a superb job, installing quality materials and as specified in our agreement. We've used Nicholson Distinctive Kitchens & Baths for 2 other projects, a complete remodel of our kitchen and adding a custom bathroom where none had existed before.
