Called Michael Carr and was able to come out a couple days later. Fixed only what was needed and did not try to upsell any additional parts. Very professional and has been in the business since early 80's so he knows what he is doing. Pricing was fair as well

Rollers had come off the rail. Mr. Carr replaced the rollers and the pulleys and adjusted a 2nd door. Very prompt, efficient service. highly recommend.

Terrific. Services was completed on scheduled day. They even balanced and lube the door and serviced the push plates on the wall. Invoice was on the door and I was charged the exact price of the estimate. I wish there were more companies in this world that were as professional as this one.

Great professionalism and service

Michael was familiar with the garage door since he installed it when our house was originally built, so we thought he would be the best person to fix it. Michael himself came out a couple of days after I called the office and spoke to Ruby, who is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Michael came on time and did the necessary work to get the door to work again within the time frame allotted for the repair. He also did some basic maintenance on both doors. He is straightforward, efficient and was a pleasure to work with. We were very pleased that he was able to repair the door so that we would not have to replace it. We recommend him highly, and would not hesitate to use Michael in the future.

initial technician was not thorough; contacted Mike Carr directly and he came out to review what was done/not done per the work order and my expectations. after a few minutes of discussion Mr Carr was appologitic for the original technician and offered to refund the fee paid; again after a few more miutes of discussion, I suggested he send a different technician to do the "tune up". Mr Carr then stated "I am here, I will complete the service call". He did and everything was perfect. I have used Mr Carr in the past and this is the reason to keep using his services. I will continue to refer Mr Carr to my friends.

Michael A Carr Garage Door Service installed a new garage door opener that my husband and I were not able to figure out. They were happy to use the one we had already purchased and were so quick, professional and knowledgeable about the installation. The technician checked the springs, the door and the tracks before installing the new opener. He was so quick and informative. I would definitely recommend Michael A Carr and I will use them again when we are ready to get a new garage door. Wonderful service!

Based on Angies List reviews I had pretty high expectations for this vendor, and they didn't disappoint. We were looking to replace a decades-old garage door opener (so old it didn't have auto reversing, which is pretty dangerous). When I called, they knew exactly what I wanted, quoted a price which I thought fair ($400 installed), made a quick appointment. On the date the installer, Greg, called to say he was running early, and would it be ok to come an hour sooner had expected him? It was ok, and within an hour it was all done. He showed us how to operate it, and that was that. Totally painless, works fine (so far).

Work completed perfectly and efficiently. He even came out on a Saturday and had the materials on his truck to complete the job.

I was in process of selling my house, and one of the items requiring repair was the fact that the garage door lift didn't automatically reverse with back pressure, which is a standard safety feature. I called Michael Carr looking to get a quote for either repairing the unit, or replacing it. My expectation was that they would send some one out (which I would likely be charged a flat fee for), then make recommendations from there. Much to my surprise, the owner got on the phone with me and asked me a series of questions about the unit to identify the problem. I'm fairly handy, but had no experience with lifts, so the kind gentlemen had to be pretty patient with me as he described in great detail what steps I needed to do on the phone, in order to diagnose the problem. We were actually able to diagnose, and partially fix the issue (by adjusting some settings we got it to stop upon back pressure, but not reverse). The reverse switch was shot. He explained that to bring the unit up to code I'd have to replace it, as the switch in question was no longer manufactured, and quoted me several different models over the phone, ranging from very economical to high end.
Overall it was extremely refreshing to speak to someone not looking to rake me over the coals, and was more interested in ensuring I understood the problem and had options. I haven't booked the replacement yet (the sale actually fell through so no urgency to the issue), but I defintely will be using Michael Carr for any garage door needs I have in the future.

Mr. Carr was punctual, efficient and courteous. He removed the old door and tracks, installed the new system, tested it, and made sure that it worked properly. He took all the related debris away, and a few weeks later contacted us with a follow-up phone call to make sure that we were happy customers. We continue to recommend him to our friends.
