Stay away from this contractor - Larry Robinson & Son. Larry is a very difficult person to deal with and has no patience working with the customer. He get very upset when you ask questions and talks down to you. He has a very small group (2 people) and has to hire 3rd party contractors to complete most of the tasks. We were stressed out the whole time construction was in process and vacated the premises when Larry showed up at our residence. He tends to micro manage his employees and communicates very poorly with them, vendors and the customer. He was the single point of failure during the job and his staff could not make any decisions without his approval. He is very argumentative, petty and had communication problems with the countertop and Kitchen design people. After he provides a contract cost he adds extra charges for every little thing. He will tell that you need permits and that he will acquire them and add them to the contract, but in reality the Township doesn't require them. We had to hold back some of the final payment because he didn't want to complete punch list finishing details according to our satisfaction. Finally we had to ask Larry and his team to leave the premises and contracted with another person to complete the outstanding punch list items. Stay away from this guy - his work is fair at best, he is extremely difficult to deal with and he will give you a headache during the whole project. This was a very unpleasant experience and we strongly urge you not to even consider Larry Robinson & Son.

To make a long story short, the quality of the work was initially acceptable but average. Unfortunately, our brand new roof began to leak in muliple areas, with water pouring down the walls and into our new addition. Larry was called countless times but he ignored our calls.   We even filed a complaint with the Consumer Affairs Office but he ignored that as well.   Our roof continues to leak and it has been determined by a housing inspector and the township that the roof Larry Robinson installed  needs to be removed and replaced because of poor workmandship. We strongly urge you to not even consider using Larry Robinson and Sons.

Larry is extremely difficult to deal with. He lacks communication skills and the ability to talk to clients appropriately. The addition process was a stressful one because of Larry. He is never on the job site and has a very limited time frame in which he available to meet with you because of coaching obligations. His foreman must run every decision through Larry so nothing is easily answered. I would never recommend Larry Robinson and Sons to anyone. The work completed is fair at best and he nickels and dimes you throughout the entire process.

Larry and his team were great from the start. We got three estimates. Larry was the only one to deliver a professional estimate and proposal with drawing of the new addition to scale. Two were close and one was way high. He was responsive to questions through the process or deciding. His team was extremely professional from day one. My wife was home with the kids most of the time so she knew how respectful and professional they all were. They moved fast too. Built a brand new room and created a bathroom in three weeks. We decided to do the finish painting and carpet ourselves to save a little money, but they were done in a flash, finished the roof, gutters and siding the day before hurricane Irene hit and not a single leak or bit a moisture. Overall, the quality and experience were excellent. I would strongly recommend Larry Robinson and Sons to anyone planning to do an addition large or small.

They did an excellent job and were better than I expected. They were friendly, courteous and prompt. They removed the old heater and took it out while covering their feet to make sure they didn't make any messes.  This company was very respectful, professional and I will use them again in the future. My hot water heater went out so I called them with an emergency and they came out the same day to give me a quote then installed the unit the next day to make sure we had hot water. They even financed the purchase interest free.

Excellent Work. From the beginning (quoting the work), Larry was available, professional, helpful. He distinguioshed himself above other alternatives in his punctuality and following up. He also gave us great ideas that we adopted that made our Kitchen "POP". Again, other contractors were slower, and were not helpful in guiding us through the decisions we needed to make. Throughout the entire project, Larry kept everrything (including us) on track, on time. He was always avilabel when we needed him. He truly made us feel that we had a "partner" - he was resopnsible. His entire team was extremely clean. They were thorough. They responded to all of our little detailed requests with a helpful attitude. And all of this was consitent through the entrie project...up until the very end. The person who came on site to provide the finishing touches really ended on the perfect note, going over and above to make sure that the project we successful. The result was a gorgeous kitchen. We receive "over the top" compliments on it. We still keep in contact with Larry for future work.

Larry came into our project very late in the process. We were in the process of obtaining financing through the FHA 203K program and had a scope of work that was submitted to the bank by another contractor. We had to fire that contractor because we weren't satisfied with a bathroom renovation. We had asked Larry for a bid when we first started the process and when we fired the other contractor and contacted Larry, he agreed to do our addition using the scope of work filed by our previous contractor. Larry's employees were conscientious and punctual. They were respectful and always kept us well informed of progress. This was from his office manager through to the site foreman and other tradesmen. The workmanship and materials are first rate. There is a great attention to detail and an interest in getting the job done right. We didn't feel like we had to be on top of the subs or Larry's employees at all. When we had concerns they were addressed immediately. Any problems that crept up were as a result of our ignorance of how construction and code operated. We also wanted to note that Larry had never worked with a 203K rehab loan before and even though the financing of this project was unlike anything he had ever done prior, from our perspective he was incredibly patient and understanding of the inspection and payment process that was foisted on him by this program. We always felt that Larry and his employees were being honest and forthright with us and we could not be happier with the results. We highly recommend Larry Robinson and Sons and they will be our contractor of choice in the future.

We were very pleased with their work. Everybody was punctual. The project came exactly in a time when we thought it would come. The foreman of the project was very easy to work with. They were very accommodating. They did everything we asked them to do. They were very responsive to our requests. Overall, we had a very good experience with this contractor. In the past we have not had very good experiences with contractors.
