Jay originally came out in October 2020 to give us a price to replace the roof. At that time we had other things come up that needed to be addressed. Fast forward to May 2023, Jay came back out, updated his quote, and within 3 days has started the roof replacement. He started when he said he would and finished on time. He and his crew were professional, CLEAN, and did a great job. There was absolutely no cleanup.needed on our part. We highly recommend Jay!

James was very responsive and completed the work right away. Our house looks great! J Parker also repaired our roof in 2021 and did great job too, would highly recommend.

We had a small project of about 200sqft section of shingles to be replaced and a hole in the underlayment to be repaired. They were the only folks to actually touch the shingles and look closely at the project while I was getting quotes. Everyone else just looked from the street. Their crew was on-time, informative and careful to keep distance while talking. When they finished the removal part of the job, I came out to take a look and immediately got a thorough update. Their cleanup was awesome; they left the work area cleaner than when they started! I'm very happy with our new shingles and the additional drip edge they added alongside a stone wall adjacent. I would definitely hire them again.

We just completed our 4th project with JPC. It's not always easy to find a solid contractor, but James is the best of the best. He answers the phone, shows up as promised, gives fair quotes (in writing) and makes sure you're satisfied with the results. Can't recommend highly enough.

J. Parker Contracting exceeded my expectations. They removed the old roof, installed new plywood, insulation and drip edge and industrial rubber roofing material. Finally, installed new metal coping around the perimeter. Finally, everything was cleaned and left as new. I was particularly pleased to see the photos documenting all aspects of the process. After the recent storms my siding was knock loose and part of my gutters were falling off. There was a water leak in my bedroom. J. Parker Contracting was able to come out within a week of contacting them and complete the job. The team that came was prompt and professional. The work that they performed was completed on time and for a reasonable price. They cleaned up after the job was complete. Although, I hope I won't need their services again (no one likes a leaking house!). I would definitely recommend them to anyone and would use their services again.

James Parker and his crew attacked this large project with energy, seriousness, and enthusiasm. We have a large enclosed front porch with the original window panes, all of which needed reglazing and painting. With well over one hundred fifty windows panes, this was a very labor intensive project, All the work was completed efficiently and with extraordinary attention to detail. James also thoroughly washed, scrubbed and re-painted the capping, siding, and trim of the porch. At one point I selected a color for the capping, and it turned out to be the wrong choice. James graciously and patiently worked with us to find a more appropriate color selection. He and his team worked tirelessly, putting in long hours to complete the job in a timely fashion. When the job was finished, our over one-hundred-year-old porch looked brand new. James and his crew cleaned up every day, leaving the property in immaculate condition. We will always return to J. Parker Contracting for any future work. This company is outstanding!

So far after rain no leak, so it seems to be excellent work. James Parker Jr. came out twice to assess two jobs. He was very cordial and knowledgeable. He did the work and stuck to the price he gave me. Have asked him to do back porch was told his brother does that particular work, and he will contact me in the near future to give me an estimate. Was very pleased with the work done and the person doing it will keep him in mind for future projects.

I emailed 3 vendors from Angie's list for this job. The next day, James Parker responded that he'd be there the following day. He arrived on time, quickly gave me a price that I found to be fair. We agreed. The same day he called to say that his men could start within the hour. The job was completed before I heard back from the competition [still haven't heard from the 3rd vendor after 2 weeks]. James is conscientious, a great listener, ready to work and to satisfy the customer. He'll get my call for future roofing needs.

James and crew did a great job installing my new roof. The roof was in pretty bad shape and now the new roof looks great ! James came out for the estimate and the whole process was professional. He explained the process and recommended the shingles. He promptly followed up with a written estimate. The work was done 2 weeks early as an opening came up and he was able to fit me in. The job itself went great, even though rain was a factor. James did me a huge favor by removing his trailer from my driveway while we waited for the rain to clear a few days, so that my neighbor could get in and out of the connected driveway. The thing you should know about J Parker is responsiveness and follow up. Anytime I had a question, James was always there via phone to speak or text and even after the job was complete, he helped me with a few unrelated jobs to the Roof, for which I was tremendously grateful. The bottom line is you can't go wrong selecting J Parker. Most roofers I contacted wouldn't even meet me for the estimate process, let alone call you back. James will do a great job for you and the price is reasonable. When you meet James, I can pretty much guarantee that you will be impressed with his knowledge and follow up. And, most importantly, you will be happy with your new roof.

After a lengthy search for contractors to replace our very damaged, old roof, we were extremely lucky and grateful to find J Parker Contracting. We knew replacing our roof would be a major, difficult job because of the nature of our roof and the age of the house, over 110 years old. It would involve removing both a top layer of old asphalt AND the original slate underneath before putting on a new asphalt shingle roof. The house has three stories and the roof is steeply pitched. From the start, J Parker Contracting, under the leadership of James Parker, demonstrated professionalism, trustworthyness, and thoroughness in all aspects of this project. James arranged to come out to our home to give a free estimate the day after we called. He gave a lot of time and attention to detail, going over the house carefully and answering all of our questions. It was a helfpul and informative conversation. Within hours after leaving, James emailed us an estimate and contract that was very fairly priced and extraordinarily detailed, itemizing every aspect of the job he would do. We mutually agreed to wait a few weeks until the weather got a little warmer. Meanwhile, James and his father Al helped us choose the appropriate asphalt shingles and color for our roof, bringing by samples and weighing options with us. They continuously showed us their own investment and care with our project. We arranged the starting date with them, and they arrived promptly that morning. Once the work began, the crew stayed with the job until it was done. There was never any postponement. J Parker contracting is the definition of a family business. James, his father Al, and his brother were regularly on site working with the crew and making sure that everything was being done properly and to their standards. The crew itself was professional, courteous, and extremely tidy with their work. They cleaned up the work areas and surrounding yard daily. James and Al were always reachable, responding immediately to our phone calls, voice messages, and texts. At one point during the job, an unforeseen complication came up requiring some substantial repairs and reconstruction. James and the crew were able to resolve these issues quickly and successfully, making necessary price adjustments that were very fair. The end result after a week of work? A beautiful, highly impressive, and solidly built new roof! We could not be happier with how it turned out and are very thankful to James and the entire team at J Parker Contracting for their hard work, positive energy, and tremendous professionalism. As I write this review, J Parker is back at our house doing another major project on our large enclosed front porch - another 5-star review to follow at the conclusion of the job!

They came and install insulation board to low area and Epdm rubber roofing to eliminate water backing up underneath roof. Clean off any debris and glue down insulation board install termination bar across we're shingles meet Gutter so water can't go under shingles and then install rubber over entire Flat area. But as we got some heavy rain within a couple of week they had to come back to fix it after that had no leaks they came back once again to fix the drain. Also my neighbor like there work and hire them to do there roof. All in all great job.

J. Parker replaced my roof on short notice during the holidays. The job turned out to be more than anticipated, since there were 4 layers of shingles that needed to be removed. J. Parker finished the job in one day, staying late because rain was forecast the next day. The job and cleanup were completed professionally and the work was outstanding. I would recommend J. Parker for your next job for sure! I know I will!

I called James because of his A+ review on Angie's list, honestly I'm not really sure how he even stays in business as he is a roofer and didn't even bring a ladder longer than your normal homeowner 10 ft painting ladder, he came out to look at a roof repair and told me he doesn't even need to look at it in person, he'll look at it on his "special" Live Earth view program when he gets back to the office. The more and more I kept asking him, it turns out he's just talking about Google Earth satellite view, I then ask him about how he's able to look at recent roof pictures on there since those images are dated, he says that you can buy a subscription to look at a live view. I didn't call him out on his BS but the more and more I think about it I should have as this obviously isn't legal and stalkers/ thieves could be used to track people/ cars. He then quoted me a random price off the top of his head for $2,000 to recoat the entire flat roof, even though a the problem was just in the front of the house. I reached out to another roofer referred from a friend and they came out the next day and just did it for $125. LOL! Stay far far away from J Parker Contracting!!! They are a scam, like the car mechanics that replace the entire transmission or car engine just to fix an leaky oil gasket. Duh! If you replace the entire car it'll fix the problem but at that point why am I even calling you??

Possibly the best contractor I've ever used. James was incredibly responsive, performed the job within a few days after quote and did a perfect job. It's sometimes hard to find a trustworthy contractor who both cares about quality and understands customer service. James is the real deal. I can't recommend him highly enough. He's the first # I call when I need outdoor repairs. 5-stars.

J. Parker Contracting answered my phone call the 1st time I call and sent someone out in 48 hours for an estimate. We were satisfied with the price and hired Al and his team. The roof was on in about 3 weeks later due to rain and that I needed to get approval from my HOA. The roof was done in less than day as promised. I went outside after the roofers had gone in my bare feet and not a nail was to be found. Excellent clean-up Job!.

Al Parker and his team did a great job replacing my full roof shingles they get two thumbs up and a 10 out of 10 rating, A+ job from my first call for a free quote to the job being completed was professional and exactly what I wanted you get what you pay for and J Parker company has to be the best in Delaware county I've been getting quotes for 2 years from a lot of company's and I am so glad I choose this company the price was very reasonable, I left work to check the team in action and I couldn't believe how great they all where top quality work you can tell professionals when you see them in action then when I sat down to pay they could have added a few things they had to do extra but Al stayed at his quoted price, I can't wait to hire them to paint my house, I would strongly recommend the J Parker family

Jim Parker showed up for our appointment for an estimate. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate for coating my roof with the Gaco Silicone Roof Sealant and the flashing. Being disabled, I was trying to find an honest company to do the work-after speaking to Jimmy, I believe I found that company. Jimmy came back out, completed the work and I was very pleased with the results. It's nice to know there are good people still out there-if I ever needed anything, Jimmy said he would take care of it. A great company!!
