Dealing with Comcast is not pleasant and since I have a contract they have no problem telling me that and I seem to have no leverage to get any satisfaction. Simply put I do not like Comcast. They are too big and arrogant because they have no competition in Vermont. Well I will figure out what the alternatives are because there are. What I know now is that I can get internet service from someone else and I can run my cell phone through that and get rid of my landline. As for Television it seems most of that can be had from the internet.
Description of Work: Simply put I do not like them. I have a business on my property and they would not give me the three for $99. So I have internet and phone for my business which is about $120 a month and television which is basic about $65 a month. Because I have the business service and residential service I have two accounts. I asked them to consolidate it but " we can't do that" a term heard very often in today's world of business. So I put the two accounts in my bill pay. I paid them but had trouble with one being over paid and the other delinquent. I thought I was making a mistake and straightened it out or so I thought. I went to Arizona to work on my house and I was gone for two months. I had made my payments and figured all was fine. When I came back everything had recently been turned off, my business phone, internet and television. It turned out that the business account was considered delinquent however my TV account was paid way ahead. When all the dust settled I discovered that I had not made a mistake but they had. It turned out that the two accounts were nearly identical except for the last two digits of the account number. One ended in 27 adn the other was 72. I surmised that the person applying the payment quickly checked and was applying all my payments to the TV which made my business account overdue. The added mistake which the installer told me when he came to the house was that they should never have turned off the TV because it was more than up to date. When it was all done and said, their was no apology, not nothing. They either denied wrong doing but I suspect they never figured out they were wrong because perhaps it was too complex. The other problem I had was that I discovered I had signed up for a 3 year contract. If I had known I would not have signed. How it got by me I do not know. Perhaps it was comcast slight of hand contracts or whatever. I didn't even know there were three year contracts and you never hear of them in their advertisements. I recently called about termination. I have 10 months left on my contract and the termination fee is 75% of the total cost of the term. It would be 75% of about $1000. As for channel choices it's not very good. I have the basic and while it doesn't matter it bugs me to pay for all these channels that are "paid tv programing" which is I have to pay to see channels advertise. I will make changes in 10 months. Comcast will be done.

I don't like much about them and it is the only choice I have in my area. What they offer in terms of channels is horrible.
