Design and construction of our patio and wall went great. Bidding process was the best of the various contractors we talked with. Scheftic took time to thoroughly understand the soil and slope, and our interests. Scheftic offered great suggestions that have proven to be helpful and attractive. All the employees took real pride in their work and the patio and wall are better because of that.

It went very well. Steve is Grade A. I would definitely hire again!

Excellent work, very neat and tidy.  Contractor even helped with a problem of some dampness in the basement.  He checked connection in an underground downspout and corrected the problem.

We had a very large landscaping job done by Scheftic Construction.  Our goal was to widen our driveway, replace and rebuild the retaining walls around the driveway, and rebuild steps and a staircase to the front porch.  At the same time, we wanted quality construction, something that was well drained, and we added the replacement of our sewage pipe from the house to the road (since we dug up the entire driveway anyway). 
The project took over three weeks during the summer.  We received multiple quotes on this project and decided on Scheftic due to a reasonable price, excellent references (and we drove around town viewing his work at other residences) and confidence that he would do a job well done.
We could not be happier with Scheftic's work.  The quality of the work was above our expectations.  It is difficult to have contractors at your home for weeks on end, but we were thrilled with the cleanliness and politeness of Scheftic's workers.  I couldn't believe how well they cleaned up nightly!  This crew was by far the most respectful and courteous laborers I have had at my home.
All being said and done, we had the construction completed years ago.  Scheftic honored our contract more than once, when a paver broke or got loose through the winter months, free of charge.  I did have to have part of my steps rebuilt at one time, due to disintegrating bricks, after the warranty expired.  Scheftic went back to the brick manufacturer and requested that the bricks be replaced free of charge due to a defect.  This was covered and we only had to pay a nominal fee for labor.  I was thrilled that Scheftic went to bat for us like that.  Since then, we have opted to have a professional water sealant placed on the pavers, also completed by Scheftic Construction in 2014.  (Our home receives a tremendous amount of run-off water, which can damage the pavers, especially in the winter with the thawing and freezing.)  We felt that Scheftic offered us a fair and reasonable price for a professional service.

We had an existing patio with omnistone and decided to enlarge the area. After some thought and brainstorming with Steve, we came upon a design. Steve was very easy to work with and worked hard to make it exactly as I envisioned. We had one mis-communication on the floor design, but he changed it and I love it. Everyone was punctual and came daily until the project was finished. I would highly recommend Steve with any landscaping/hardscaping project.
