The Morow’s Masonry & Restoration crew were like superheroes and got my tough, dirty job done in just three days. Their expertise and work ethic were very impressive. All my concerns and questions were addressed immediately and the work crew did an outstanding clean up job each day and at the end of the project. From start to finish they were a pleasure to work with and I’m so pleased with the results. I highly recommend this company.

Crew was on time, very polite. They did an awesome job that was initially a nightmare situation from another contractor that made a mess of the job initially. I would call them again in a heartbeat. My chimney now looks fantastic and ready for the winter months.

I had been searching since June, for someone to repair my chimney. I came across Morow’s Masonry and called. They were prompt in responding, came within a day to look at my chimney, explained to me what needed done and what they would do, gave me a quote and we signed the paperwork that day (it was a Sunday). He stated they would be able to start that week. A couple of hours later, he called and said they could be there Monday morning at 9 am. 3 days later the work was done! As I said, I had been searching for months. Others would come and look and not give an estimate, nor could I ever get in contact with them again. Morow’s was professional, dependable, and the craftsmanship is excellent! I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know! Amazing work! Simply amazing!

Called once, and owner Rick immediately came out and discussed options. We opted for a full scope restoration of two chimneys, and an overlay of our concrete front porch to save it from further deterioration. Front porch overlay was accented with colors that pulled in masonry colors of the home. Very pleased.

Work was excellent. Felt bad for the man doing the brick replacements, should have just taken it down and started all over for how many bricks needed replaced! (20+) Was very surprised on how fast the job got done. Explained everything and gave us options.

I have posted here twice. My initial review was very positive. The work was prompt and clean. There was a callback issue that prompted my revised review. I called Morow's landline as I had misplaced his mobile number. Morow did not receive my message so I modified my review. Immediately thereafter Morow contacted me to arrange for the completion of the work. His crew came right out and dealt with my one punch list item. In addition, they noticed an issue with the flashing on one chimney that would allow water into the house and repaired it immediately and would not take a payment for the extra work. I will call Morow again. I will recommend Morow to anyone needing masonry repair work. This business is top knotch!

The work went well even if it did take longer than expected as my home is closer to the neighboring homes than anticipated. This required some cautious creativity with the scaffolding on the side where it would fit at all, and a little more creativity to get over the top of the roof to reach the second chimney. Clean up was also rather well done, and the workers did give me a heads up to closing windows and protecting some gear against dust during the prep work on the repointing.

The work took over a month to complete. Workers would show up for one or two days, then nothing for several days.  It required quite a few phone calls.  While the completed project looks great, we were not happy with the time it took, because our second project depended on the completion of this job.

The brick wall was done very well. Men were conscientious and helpful.

A larger crew worked hard and diligently on the driveway and garage floor.

This winter was very h****** the fresh concrete. There is damage and Mr Morow is coming back to make repairs.

I appreciate that he has been in touch with us and through our son.

I first have to say that I would have given higher scores if the team would have finished the job. The team was nice and seemed to be knowledgeable. They finished the chimney and it looked very good. Based on that I would have given them an A for their quality. However, I regret having them do further work because things went steadily downhill from there. The small walkway seemed to be overpriced at $1000 but since they were here doing other work that would include raising our slightly sunken front walkway, I decided to move forward with it. The small walkway looked ok but the team said it would darken up after drying. A rain storm the same day seemed to make a stain on the walkway. We weren't happy but hoped that it might be less noticeable after the supposed darkening that would happen after curing was complete. After this winter (2013 - 2014) we noticed that all the brush strokes in the cement had crumbled off. That is with only a handful of shovelings down to the concrete surface. The team said they would come back the next day to remove the framing and pins and replace the dirt and mulch around the new walkway. They were also unable to raise the end of the slumping front walkway. They said their jacks just sunk into the dirt because the walkway was too heavy. I told the team that I wanted to talk about other options with the owner since this was part of the price quoted. That was the last I heard from anyone from the company. After about a week I tried calling the company back to ask when they would come finish the walkway framing removal and some missed brick pointing on the side of the house. I got a message saying the phone number was out of service. I tried calling several times thinking I dialed the wrong number but after looking an the business card and online I was certain that I was calling the correct number. I tried again weeks later but got the same message.I ended up taking the framing out myself and replacing the dirt and mulch around the walkway. The front walkway is still slanting and the extra brick pointing is still unfinished. To satisfy my curiosity, I called the business sometime in 2013 and I got the original answering machine that I got when I first called the company. I called from a different phone this time so either they blocked my home number or their business phone number came back on line after months of being out of service. Either option is poor business practices in my opinion. Just to be clear, I called their number only twice before they decided not to come back. Once to setup an estimate and once to confirm that we wanted to proceed with the work.
Response from Morow's Masonry Restoration
"I'm very sorry that this customer was not happy with the job. We charged $1,000 to jack up a portion of a sidewalk and to pour the porch area outside the garage. With great regret, the customer has never notified me of any problems. Unfortunately, we did experience problems with our business lines several different times during that year, but that was no fault of mine, Verizon was responsible for that. Never the less, my address is listed on all of my proposals and that has been the same for the past 16 years. I have been in business more than 25 years. I did not achieve great success by not following up on jobs. I make it clear on my proposals, full payment due upon completion of the job. I was paid in full at the end of the job which to me indicated satisfactory for a job well done. However, after speaking with Vince (who worked on her job) he indicated that he failed to remove 3 small 2 X 4's that were used as forms. I am very sorry that was missed. We do about 200 jobs per year, unfortunately on rare occasions something is missed. My business phone number is still the same. If this customer would contact me, I will follow up on her job and make any necessary corrections. I can also be reached by my email address; [email protected] which has also been the same for about 8 years. I look forward to hearing from her. I feel the grade given was unfair, this job was completed 2 years ago, this is the first time I heard of this unsatisfied customer. I could have been reached by mail or email at any time."
