 + -1 morePoorly. It had been repaired by this firm before and was guaranteed. Yet when it was obviously deteriorating much quicker than guaranteed, he came back but charged her again! Not only that but it looks horrible with 1 inch think mortar in some areas and 1/4 inch thick mortar in others. It does not even look like to original fireplace, just repointed...bricks sideways...flat brick before, now turned on its end to "fit". My mother is 80 years old and I think he took advantage of her. I intervened and paid him only 1/2 of what he was trying to charge her the 2nd time. Really I should not have paid him anything.
Description of Work: Re-pointing an exterior fireplace/brickwork at my mothers house.
