After using the pet sitting services for several years, it became increasingly difficult and frustrating to get a return call on a timely basis. I have been happy with the quality of their services, and felt comfortable with having them in my home. My cats were well cared for, and they left notes letting me know what they had done, and how the cats behaved. They also brought in my mail and watered the plants on my porch. I have no idea what happened that has caused such a radical change in their responsiveness, but I finally felt so frustrated in making arrangements, that I have switched pet sitting services.

I am extremely pleased with the services provided. Kristy and Nate are prompt and dependable. They walk Lotus and spend time with her when they bring her back home. I feel completely confident knowing they are in charge of her when I'm not around. One morning I was on my way out of the house to go to work and saw an area where Lotus had thrown up during the night. I didn't have time to clean it up. Kristy called me at noon when she visited Lotus to let me know about the area. She offered to clean it up. She also called me another time to let me know she saw a lump on Lotus' paw. She and Nate communicate in writing every day that they care for one or both of my pets. When I was away for several days and they took care of the cat and the dog everything was perfect when I got home.
I have used another pet sitter in the past and that sitter does not even compare to Kristy and Nate. I intend to use Home Sweet Home for a long time.

I had them come in and sit with our cat. They sat with our cat for half an hour and cleaned the kitty litter. They have been super taking care of our cat. The leave diaries of how the cat is doing how it responded and communicated with us very well. I would use them again.

We had used Home Sweet Home several times before with no problems. The owner and I had spoken on the phone many times and she was always pleasant and we chatted for a bit each time. The pet sitter had come to our home to meet us and our dog so she would not be a stranger when she came. We had no problem with her or any of the other sits.
I had scheduled a sit for 8/6/11 around 6 to 7pm. When we returned at 9:30 pm our dog had no water and was panting and had to go outside very quickly. The note left for us indicated that sitter had her whole family at our home. I had specifically told owner I didn't want others to come, only sitter, because we had that happen with another company and didn't want it repeated. We do not want to be responsible if something happens to sitters family. Owner did not return call until the next week, after I left a second message.
I was shocked and still in shock that the owner became very nasty with me and said she is going to return our keys and cancel our contract and the sit we had scheduled for a few weeks from now. The owner told me that she was here also, which was not mentioned in the note. Our dog has a medical condition that requires medication, special diet and supervised exercise. We have spent thousands of dollars on tests to find her medical condition and three years to get her stabilized. The owner said there is nothing wrong with our dog and we need to let her be a dog. I do not appreciate being told that we don't know how to treat our own dog. She also told me that our house was hot and that is why she didn't have any water. We keep our home A/C set at 72 degrees all the time and it is perfectly comfortable for us and our dog.
The more we think about it, the more we are convinced that something happened here at our home that the sitter felt the need to call the owner and have her come over. We believe that whatever happened, the owner does not want us to find out about it and chose to end our contract rather than tell us, and we are not comfortable with that. She put us in a bind to find another sitter in a short period of time so we canceled our plans. We had our pet examined by our Vet and he said that she was stressed and her blood levels had risen, causing us to put her on medication yet again. I would not recommend Home Sweet Home to anyone after our experience. I am still in shock at the sudden change of character and will always wonder what happened. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through that experience.
