Robert Papaleo, owner of Veteran?s Plumbing had taken $675 from me as a deposit for a service that ended up not being necessary, with the agreement that he would refund my money should the new unit be unnecessary. I have been attempting to retrieve my deposit refund since early July. Countless texts, emails, phone calls, and Venmo refund requests have all gone unanswered. And now, Robert has moved and been evicted from his new residence, so neither myself nor my lawyer can contact him. In his own words, Robert claims to stand for ?Integrity, bound by fairness, and personal responsibility??I can tell you from personal experience that this could not be further from the truth. As a veteran myself, I made the mistake of trusting Robert. If I can save just one person from being taken advantage of by Veteran?s Plumbing, I will feel like there has been the smallest amount of vindication. Please do not give this plumber your business. He is disgusting, dishonest, and untrustworthy.

This plumber ripped me off for $1300.00 .Took a deposit and never showed up. He was a 4.4 on Angi and Home advisor who OBVIOUSLY don't check out their contractors! You owe me 1300,00 Angi if I sue this guy and he doesn't pay! You DON'T CHECK YOUR CONTRACTORS REVIEWS!!!I bet you will NEVER PRINT THIS!!!

the plumber came to my house three times, drew a diagram on the basement wall, was scheduled FIVE times to come out and FIVE times he called with an phony excuse why he couldn't make it. After he took my $1300.00 deposit weeks ago he never came back,will not return my calls or emails. Small claims court here I come. Angi gave this contractor a 4.4 rating but his business website is lined with negative reviews just like mine. This is the second contractor I hired from Angi's recommendations that has left me hanging. You need to do a better job of screening. Your website says that I should look into them myself, then why would I look to you for a recommendation. If you pass them they should be trustworthy.

Very unprofessional unreliable and its nor responsible.

1. Never showed up at the time he said he would. Some days, he would not show up at all. 2. Very poor communication, if any. 3. After getting paid $3400, he disappeared. Did not call or text back. Never finished the job despite giving me an invoice with what he still needed to complete and how much I paid. 4. Only responded back 1 week later because I told him to pick up his tools or they would be thrown out. Overall: I am very disappointed in Robert because I prefer giving my business to small mom and pop shops as well as trying to support veterans any chance I get. I contemplated posting this review as I never write reviews ( first time writing a review on this platform). The main reason I am posting it is to try and give a heads up to others before they get taken advantage of. I really hope my experience was just a one-off.

They did a good job but the owner told me not to watch him while he worked which turned me off since I wanted to learn as I typically like to do things myself Update: I had a problem with my water heater after only 5 months. Pilot light goes out intermittently. Although he offers a 5 year warranty, he does not honor that commitment. He has promised to come to my house three separate times to evaluate the problem but has not shown up. This last time, did not call or text. I am done pursuing him. The water heater company is supporting my warranty claim with another plumber so grateful for that. He is capable of doing the work but his customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Very professional and knowledgeable about tankless water heaters. He is personable and does quality work. He is experiencing labor shortage as other trades, but he makes every effort to meet deadlines and appointments.

The provider was not dependable, not reliable, and not timely. Owner did not properly install the condensation line for our new hybrid water heater. Owner told me I should have read the owners manual and let him know. The owner installed the pressure release valve lines and attached it to the condensation line. When pressure was released the water back fed through the condensation line into the water heater. This required the pressure release valve line to be re-routed. The owner told me he would call in an hour to make sure there were no leaks. He never called. Within 24 hours a leak in the water supply line was detected at the brass connector to the water heater. It took 6 days for the owner to arrive to address the leak. Within 2 hours we noticed the leak was still present. Whatever tool was used to tighten the brass fitting resulted in the fitting being badly gouged and chewed up. At this time 8 days have passed and the owner has not addressed the leak and again has not met the committed scheduled appointment and has not responded to my text questioning when he will arrive. Provides a date and time for arrival to address a leak in new water heater he installed but does not show and has not contacted us the let us know he would not arrive. Had to repeatedly contact him to reschedule but again does not show up. As a result of poor and lacking communication with this plumber and his past behavior of not showing up for appointments and not informing us he would not arrive as scheduled, we hired another plumber who came within an hour and resolved the leak. When the leaking fitting was removed it was discovered that the threads had been stripped. The owner of Veterans Plumbing Service called me after the leak was fixed and when he was informed another plumber corrected the issue he began using profanity (f***). When I took offense to his language he escalated the profanity. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Veterans Plumbing Service.

Robert was very thorough explaining what he was going to do, and we were impressed with the speed and quality of his work, WE will be using him again. Also if you want to support a veteran who served our country Hire him.

I hired this company to replace a water heater and that went ok. He had to return to place a pan under it and cracked a pipe, which he admitted but never returned to fix and now I have to hire another company to repair. BEWARE of this company, not truthful to deal with

They got back to me promptly and completed it the same day.

The phone contact receptionist was excellent . Very knowlegeable. They were upfront about costs. This was not an emergency but the service was readily available. I requested a certain brand of water heater and it was provided. Clean up was great and the old water heater was disposed of the same day. Installation was delayed one day due to weather and my non-emergency status. All work was explained. I would recommend this business.

Excellent quality of work! I knew cost of installing the on-demand water heater prior to the job. He knew we had been without hot water for about a week, so he got here quickly and got the job done right! Robert is an friendly, talented plumber and he comes highly recommended!
