REDCLIFFE

We signed a contract to purchase a home in Redcliffe on Friday April 5th. After depositing the check for our down payment, Ryan Homes called me the next week to alert me that the price of the home had gone up, and they could not honor the contract we signed. Long story short, after hiring an attorney, and waiting 2 weeks time, we finally received notice that they would honor THEIR own contract. After that however, our experience did not get much better. We were given 3 different dates to break ground, they grew later and later every time, We were told they could not break group on our town home until the entire building of 3 was sold. When we were told this in APRIL however they seemed confident it would be by June 1. Here it is June 10 and they have pushed back the ground breaking yet again, contingent upon selling the last unit that has been available for 3 months. In addition, they are selling that unit as a "luxury" unit and are asking almost $20,000 more than any other end unit in the development. We are now having to wait because of their greed. If we could get out of our contract at this point we would. Unfortunately we are stuck. Do your research before buying in here, and don't let them convince you that the negative reviews online are an exception to the rule.
