Septic company local and deals well with local township which is why we stayed with this company. System failed prior to winter and with the snow this season the work was not able to be started until spring. Additionally planned to put in pool which required septic to be completed first. Testing for septic was completed in December, however we could not get a plan to submit for permits until April. This delayed the permitting for pool and landscape changes. Delay was completely unnecessary and given the winter this company should have had plenty of time to take care of engineering for permits.
Overall the work is of good quality but there is no plan and notice for work to be done. Once started sound mound went in quickly. However to finish with seed was delayed for no known reason which led to conflict of work as they showed up unannounced at same time landscape and pool were to perform work which was frustrating.
Phone calls were often not returned and I needed to fly home early to go to office at 7:00 in the morning to ensure plans and permits were being completed. Missed promise date for completion of permits. If you use them for anything other than pumping out your tank you will need to consistently manage the project. Workers are very nice and professional.

The only difficulty I had with this contractor was initially getting them to return my call.
I had a personal recommendation to use them from a friend and if it was not for this fact I would have called another contractor after not getting a call back until the third time I called them. The servicemen (there were 2) acknowledged that this has been a problem and that the office is making strides toward improving this.
When I finally got a call back which was at 7:02am on a Friday morning I explained that based upon my analysis that I had been avoiding using water for the past 2 days because I felt I was on the brink of a disaster. They told me that they would send a crew out that morning and expect that they would be there around 8am. They arrived at around 7:40am and took 2.5 hours to finish. During this time they worked diligently and professionally. They were well equipped. They also were well spoken and did not mind my asking many questions and looking over their shoulds most of the time. They found that my pump had failed and pumped out both of my tanks which totalled over 1600 gallons. They replaced all of the floats and the pump and the electrical junction box. They also improved the internal plumbing in the second tank.
The new pump is much larger physically than the 20+ year old failed pump.
Although the cost of this service was far more than I had hoped, I suspected that it was going to be expensive because I knew the pump was very old and thought it likely to have failed. So I really didn't know price-wise what to expect.
Note that I am a contractor myself in the industrial automation and controls business.
I would recommend Yeska to anyone, but suggest that if you do not get a timely call back after speaking to the message taker that you should call back after hours and leave a detailed message on their answering machine - then expect a call first thing in the morning!
