Matt did our entire yard - designed and installed the landscaping and a patio. The work was great. Matt listened to our needs and designed accordingly. We love the outcome. All plants that didn’t survive were replaced as well.

Due to sinking garage wall and years of mulch build-up a contractor bulldozed the entire front of my house. Matt Valentine designed and installed a marvelous, attractive, self-sustaining garden. His eye for design and lines, choice of high quality plants with multiple textures and colors, for complimenting the house created a garden that will last for years (installation was 4 years ago). Matt is a lovely talented man who is a pleasure to work with. Matt has done several projects for us over several years -- new pavers walkway and steps, new landscaping of backyard after storm damage forced creation of a complete new vision. He does a fall clean up and spring mulching for us every year as well, making sure that the plants are thriving, well trimmed, and moving items that need a new space. He has expert knowledge of plants, trees, and shrubs and works well with his customers to create a shared plan . We are always thrilled with Matt's suggestions, work, and perfectionism. He is an outstanding contractor, someone you can trust to complete the job even better than you imagined. My favorite day of the year is when I come home on the spring day when Matt has mulched the yard--I've never loved the outside of my home more!

We have worked with Matt for many years. He has created perennial beds for us, put in several shrubs and trees, and done fall and spring cleanup and mulching. He is great about communicating with us to plan the work, and then doing it with no surprises. Matt chooses his plants carefully and stands by his work - if a plant doesn't do well, he replaces it. Probably the biggest job he did was to add a bed in our backyard along with a footpath that carries heavy rains away from the house. It looks great and - with a bit of maintenance - has functioned well for years.

Matt did a thorough assessment and presented a detailed plan. I was impressed with his fantastic vision and design sense, incorporation of pre-existing elements, plant choice, and meticulous work. Every detail was attended to, including grass seed in bare areas. Subsequently Matt has done further yard design for me, to include the incorporation of flower beds I had dug in the back yard into a unified whole yard.
