Friendly, polite crew arrived on date promised, work was completed on timely manner.total charged for the job was commensurate with estimate. Roof is now 9 years old, no problems or leaks. Appearance is still very nice.

My daughter moved into a house with the Gerard roof installed by him. She has had numerous leaks and noticed when inspecting the leaking that there was already caulking in a bunch of places and a bunch of flat spots where water could puddle. When the leak occurred she called two different roofers who were unfamiliar with this roof yet said it was terrible installed and there were many different areas that could also be leaking. Both roofers, one of which she knows very well, suggested ripping it off and putting a new one on. The roof itself is very nice, and if it was installed correctly, would have been a great feature to their new house, yet after only 4 months of living there they are ripping it off and putting on a new roof. Terrible installation and when called John he seems to not really have any real answers to why it would leak. Would never use this company for anything after the looks of her roof.

I ended up firing him. He had his trailer parked in my driveway for almost two months. For a job that should have taken about 4 days. He would not communicate when they would show up for work. They would show up and not even tell me that they were going to be there that day to do the work. He originally put this roof on for the previous homeowner. The roof was installed on a pitch that was not recommended by the manufacturer. That is why it was leaking. Thanks to his services from the previous homeowner, I had to put a $25,000 roof on. To put it nicely, I would not have him come back to clean my toilets. They claim that they have been in business for over 30 years. I called him and told him his services were no longer needed and come get your trailer or I will call the state police.

Mr. Zolko gave a thorough typed estimate on his first visit. Before starting the work, we asked if he could paint the trim around the roof, revarnish exterior eaves, and repaint a 5'X5' roof over a back porch, and he gave us an estimate of $2000, but that he would charge $40/hour for actual work done. About two weeks after setting up the scaffolding, they started the work. The workers were courteous, but came at different times and sometimes just for a few hours. No one called to let us know days they were and were not coming. They powerwashed the old paint off (which they didn't clean/sweep up afterwards) and didn't seem to scrape off the remaining paint (which left a rough finish). During work we asked if they could also paint 12 2nd and 3rd floor window frames and around a front porch but didn't get an estimate. When Mr. Zolko called to pick up his final check, he said the actual trim work had taken 135 hours so the final charge would be $5440 for that part. Overall, the roof and gutter work looks good and cost us what the original estimates was. They came back and fixed two leaks in the gutters that I noticed after the work was done which I pointed out when he picked up his final check. The huge upcharge in the paint work is what still really bothers me about the whole job, and the fact that Mr. Zolko just repeated that it's the time his men spent so it was what he was charging. The original trim estimate included a lot of work on about a 3rd floor level so I didn't think the easier window trim repainting (without any paint removal) would add that much work. Lesson learned.

It was terrible. The job was supposed to be done in 2 weeks and took over 2 months. The men were here sometimes an hour sometimes 2 because there was no supervision. I was over charged and they very careless and sloppy. I would not recommend this company.
