This contractor built a retaining wall for my next door neighbor.  During the construction, he came onto my property without warning or permission and ran a piece of equipment over my landscape curbs, crumbling the same in the process.  He also managed to get a piece of his equipment stuck in my backyard.  When my husband noticed this and questioned him, he got off the peice of equipment, came to my front door and began loudly berating my husband and myself.  He also said we should not worry as he would repair the curbing.  Needless to say, he left this job next door, unfinished I might add, and never made restitution to us.  He is a loudmouth crook and a thief.

This is a bona fide crook.

He took 15k from us and lammed.  The contract was to build a retaining wall and to repair a cracked driveway for 20k.

We paid him half up front. He sent someone over to dig up our existing driveway, and then asked for an additional 5k, which we foolishly gave.Then he disappeared.

Now we have an unusable driveway, piles of rubble in our yard, and no wall, and no Lenny. We have made inquiries since and discovered that this is pretty much his modus operandi. He has been complained about to the Attorney General several times. He has multiple complaints against him in the better business bureau. 

If you're considering hiring him, please read other reviews here and elsewhere first. Then seriously consider whether you are in a mood to just give away a lot of money to this man for no useful service in return.  If you feel  really strongly that you hate your money and would rather see it in Lenny's hand, only then hire him.  Don't bother to sign a contract or actually give him a task -- he'll either not do it at all or worse, damage your property.

Horrible!!!!! This preson is a SCAM ARTIST and should be avoided at all costs!!!!
We gave him Over $16,000 and now beyond that I am waaaaay farther behind than when I started. He will take your money and run!!
Overall it's going to cost me beyond $20,000 to get back to my original starting point. (thats the 16 I already gave him and another 5 to get back to point A) Read some reviews from other sights on this person before having any dealings with him!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall it was ridiculous!!! Never showed up, when he did, it was for 2-3 hours at a time. Pathetic work, made him redo quite a few things until I realized this person didn't have a Clue as to what he was doing!!! SCAM STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

His crew of about five was wonderful: hardworking and neat.  They did a good job on the patio!  Certain items needed a callback, and he promised that he would, but never did.  I called him multiple times, but I was never able to get him to come out again.

He "finished" the job while I was away and demanded final payment (we had given him a down payment of half ($3,100.00). When I got home I called and asked where the bolders were, and what about the discount. He said he didn't have the equipment right now to place the bolders, and although he never said this,he said his price was with the 20% already off. We probably called him 30 times over the next 8 months for the bolders which he finnally delivered in the summer of 2009. The trees were guaranteed for one year, and one of the Pine trees died during the summer of 2009. We have been trying to get him out to replace the tree ever since. My wife went as far as to confront him at his office last winter. He said he hadn't forgotten and would be replacing the tree the spring (2010) The dead tree is still there, and another has died. We have since googled him, and have found similar complaints.
