My new-to-me minivan had some brake parts come loose during a trip downtown. By the time I drove it in, it was really loud & scary to me. I did not want to drive it in that condition so I asked to leave it there. It was fixed the next day, along with some other work I requested. Another instance of good work.
Other times, with other cars and circumstances, I have always been satisfied.
I avoid the fast oil change places since I found out their basic oil/lube service does not include checking the gear oil in the axle(s). One I went to a few years ago charged extra to do this. And if you did not ask, as I did, they do not check it at all.
I took the car to a tire dealer and they told me that the tires had half their tread remaining!
Don't go to Steinbrenner. They are dishonest and lack basic courtesy!
"The customer arrived at our shop mid morning driving on a flat tire!! Customer complained about a steering issue and an issue with the sidewall of his tire. Nothing could be done about the steering problem until the flat tire issue was resolved. During the day, many attempts were made to contact the customer at the telephone number he left with our staff. The number was busy. No contact was ever made. The customer showed up at the end of the day. Due to hole in the sidewall of his tire and the tire was unable to be repaired, he was given an estimate on tires. He told us he would take care of the tire issue himself. Again, we told him he had a flat tire on his vehicle and therefore the steering issue could not be addressed. We never do any type of work on a customer's vehicle without their permission. Since contact was never made, we could not repair the flat. If the customer was concerned about his vehicle, he shouldn't have waited until the end of the day to return to shop. All work was finished for the day and employees were cleaning up to go home. Bays were cleaned and equipment put away. He also told us that he was going to take care of the tire issue himself. We don't understand why he thought we would have one of our employees put his spare tire on his vehicle. He already told us he was going somewhere else. The tire estimates that were given to him were given as a courtesy. They are given to any customer that comes in with a ruined tire. Our shop has been in business for nearly 4 years, and we have never received another negative comment from a customer. I don't think the gentleman was being entirely honest with the situation."
