You can read more about us at www.CitrusCleanPA.com. Read there abotu some of ther dangers of NOT natural cleaners. We clean carpets and upholstery with independently certified all natural detergents made from soy, wheat germ, apricot kernel oil, and the citrus peel extracts (just to name a few of the ingredients). Our "..steamer..." competitors use detergents made from petroleum extracts. The water we use is our own that is PH and mineral content controlled, in other words it is softened water. This doesn't mean we don't steam. We use a 3 stage process only steaming after pretreating and scrubbing first. As a result we use a lot less water then our steamer competitors and so your carpets dry faster!
Cleaning carpets for over 25 years makes us no spring chickens at this work and our experience says this method is great for you and your home and it keeps everyone healthier too.
As said above, we pre-treat, spot, machine scrub, and only then do we steam rinse. As a result you have much less detergent residue in the carpet. What residue is left is independently certified to biodegrade in less than 30 days. Competitors remaining petroleum based soap residue is why carpets get dirty faster after cleaning.
Safety wise please consider, do you really want your children and pets or yourself breathing the air from those noxious petroleum soap chemical residues that are left in your carpet? Call for a quote and set an appointment.
Why Do We Promote "Green Cleaning" Following is from one publication along: "...You're Putting Toxic Chemicals on Toxic Materials
Carpets are often made of synthetic fibers and they're treated with toxic chemicals that are hazardous to your health and your family's health. These carpets pose a threat to the families that have them installed as well as those people who install them. Often times those facing the greatest risks are infants, toddlers, and pets, which spend the most time breathing closest to the floor.
Following are some of the dangerous chemicals found in carpets in emissions tests:
Acetone
Benzene
Styrene
Hexane
Toluene
Formaldehyde
Caprolactam
Xylenes
Vinylcyclohexene
p-Dichlorobenzene
Basically, emissions tests are a measure of the fumes that carpets give off. If carpets are putting out these toxins, then people can be breathing them in. Compound these chemicals with those in the cleanser formulas and you can begin to see the dangers present..." We have to work with cleaners every day. If they are toxic we are even more likely to get poisoned than you so over 2 decades ago now we decided to avoid toxic cleaners. We used to advertise on "Earth Day" but were all alone doing so. We call ourself the "Greenest Carpet Cleaners in Pennsylvania" because we g out of our way to stay Green. You can read more about us at www.CitrusCleanPA.com.
