Pulled 2nd floor toilet, used camera but unable to clear it or see anything. Used shop vac to suck out as much water as possible from sewer stack. Poured 2 bottles of antifreeze down drain to aid ice break. Used heater/hair dryer to heat up pipe. Used camera to keep knocking at clog until it broke up and cleared. Reset toilet, tested, and charged $625 when they said $225 per hour and it took about 2 hours.

We picked them because they used technology to pinpoint the location. They were able to videotape and explain exactly what the issues were. They gave us choices about how to do the repair to give us the option to save the tree that was on top of the sewer line. They managed to slide through a cast iron pipe through the existing terracotta pipe and not have to cut down the 50-year old pine tree. They went through the whole process with us. These guys were fun. They were professional. They had the kind of guys who put the booties on when they came into my house. They managed not to trash the house even though they had been the sewer line. I have called them back for another job since then. We had other people bid on it and he was competitively priced.
