My 2008 Porsche Cayman S drove over part of a dead deer stretched across the left lane on a major local road.
It was night time in a hilly section. You couldn’t see it until almost on it. I had cars to the right and a concrete barrier to the left. There was visible damage to the lower right front bumper and unseen damage underneath. The car was drivable.
Porreca’s is an authorized shop for my insurance company so I didn’t need to go for a separate insurance assessment. They exchanged all the necessary claim information with the insurance company. They work closely with a local rental car
company so I was picked up at the body shop and dropped the car off there aswell.
In addition to the parts, paint, and body work there is a clear protective ‘bra’ over the front of the car. They described that as “tricky” so they took the car to a local Porsche dealer for the Porsche experts to replace the bra. The car looks and drives like nothing
ever happened.
