I had 4 trees removed by Shades Of Green. The crew showed up before 7AM and starts planning their approach. Once plan had been laid out, the execution was so calculated and with accuracy. They maneuvered their crane right next to my garage as a staging place. Trimmed the 3 big trees right next to my garage with accuracy making sure that the hanging removed tree was safely transported above my garage and house safely to the ground. Protected my lawn and driveway with mats. The whole process was so neat and not to mention you got the front row seat of a spectacular event with big cranes, Bucket trucks and other machinery on the ground. The crew was so precise and shows expertise with their approach. From the ground crew, tree climber, crane operator, the Crew Chief, Julio and Tom the Arborist they showed professionalism and are respectful of the owner’s requests. Everyone in my neighborhood is congratulating me for the outcome, credits are due for Shades Of Green crew! Mike is the best! He comes to our house every six months because of the many trees within reach of our house. He tells me what needs to be done to protect the roof, ie. Trimming small branches, taking down big ones, or in one case taking out a dead tree. There have been times nothing needed to be done, and he told me that, too. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and has absolute integrity. Couldn’t ask for a better combination - or a nicer guy.

Excellent customer service! The crew arrived promptly, Julio explained all they would be doing, and they did it carefully with skill. When they were finished the tree was trimmed and still had a 'tree' shape with branches left for the first leaves of Spring! Not chopped or topped to look like all growth would come out the sides of the branches... Would definitely use again and recommend for sure! Thanks to Julio and the crew - great job!

IT WENT VERY WELL!!! This is a no nonsense company; the point man for the company arranged to visit my property, showed up on time, and then emailed an estimate for the work to be done. He was professional and I could tell that he knew exactly what he was talking about. The crew showed up on the appointed day and time; they waited until the approved starting time (set by the township) and then went to work. I had parked my car in the street giving them full access to the driveway so that they could set up the shredder. They worked so quickly and professionally that I had to remind myself they were even there. Not only would I recommend them but I would not hesitate to use them should the need ever arise. THEY WERE EXCELLENT!!!!

The tree trimming looks very nice. They took extra care to remove lawn ornaments and anything that might get hit by falling limbs. They were very kind and extremely careful.

Fantastic! My huge 48 yo old dying maple tree was deep in the backyard and was tricky to remove due to the fencing and relatively small space between the houses. The crew showed up to work when they said they would and very carefully remove the large tree. It was amazing to watch the careful removal by cherrypicker . The truck itself was actually elevated on a stand so as not to damage the sidewalk and curbing! They took care not to ding the houses when removing very large, heavy branches and the huge base of the tree. . The crew was very careful and left no leaf or debis when they finished. Then they pruned maple out front and it looks amazing after it was pruned and trimmed .. They know what they are doing and are a personable, pleasant hard working group of people. I highly recommend Shades of Green for your pruning, trimming and removal projects . Lm.

Superbly. They did a great job with trimming our large maple trees, removing dead trees, and applying treatment for Spotted Lantern Flies. Highly recommended!

The crew did a great job. They removed three trees and a few limbs from other trees. The work was done just as expected and the cleanup was thorough.

Shades of Green responded very promptly. The tree was evaluated and treated (fertilizer applied and dead branches removed) within a week. They also fertilized another smaller tree and an azalea while they were here. If the sick tree survives and improves, we will definitely contact them again next spring.

The quality of work was spectacular! A crew arrived at the time/day promised and spent a few hours very carefully pruning and taking away large branch debris that had accumulated over a couple of years. Their work was extremely efficient and timely, and they took away or milled all tree debris. We were quite happy with the quality of service and will happily use them again and highly recommend them! We have very large trees and the nature of the work required their level of professionalism.

They were great! They were friendly and courteous. They did a great job, and even cleaned up some tree branches i had left on the ground previously! As a woman, I did not feel talked down to. I will definitely use them again.

Does good work when they actually come. Unfortunately, not reliable and it takes a lot of nagging to get them show up. For example, they say shrubbery they plant has one year warranty. When a disease was spreading through some new shrubs a few months after planting, Mike was agreeable when we would speak that they'd address the issue. But after couple months of nagging, getting blatantly blown off, etc (while the bushes continued to get worse) the issue was never addressed.

Mike came out and identified all of my trees. He diagnosed my magnolia and identified the cause of dead branches on my large holly. He wrote up the invoice for the work I wanted done. There was a delay in his return to do the work due to weather issues. The work was done beautifully! I would hire again!

Price was good, scheduled very soon after I gave the go ahead, job done satisfactorily.

I highly recommend Shades of Green.   This company was professional and thorough from start to finish.

During initial consultation, Mike was very helpful with good suggestions on parts of the project where we weren’t exactly sure what we wanted to do.  The project was scheduled in advanced and they showed up on schedule.  They have an admin at their office who is quick to respond to emails or calls.

The quality of work was excellent.  A few examples where they patched up sections of lawn we hadn’t even talked about.   They also removed the old much before putting down new mulch.  Very few landscapers do this, and it makes a big difference.   Overall the whole yard looked even better than I expected.   Got many compliments from neighbors. 

Price was fair.   High end of range of quotes I got, but not unreasonable and you get what you pay for here.  There was a minor issue with a light fixture that was damaged under one of the trees they trimmed, and they were quick to pay for replacing that.

Will definitely use again.

Erin was very informative on the bacterial disease afflicting the ancient oak and causing the branches to drop. She was the only one we met with who correctly identified the type of oak and the disease, and gave us options.  More importantly, the tree was on the neighbor's property and Erin very patiently and respectfully spoke with our neighbor, a 90+ year old widow with Alzheimers who had planted the tree with her husband maybe 70 years earlier. We had offered to pay half the cost and Erin billed us separately, as well as worked with our neighbor for additional tree trimming in the backyard, grinding the stump, and re-landscaping the area including replacing the nearby shale walkway stones and seeding the topsoil.  The area was so clean that you could not tell there had been a huge oak and three bushes there earlier.  Erin really made us feel comfortable with her compassion for our neighbor and the professionalism.

We had many trees taken down becasuse they were getting old and had grown quite close to our house. Shades of Greeen (Erin and her crew) were knowledgeable about tree types and as to their recommendations about which trees did (or did not) really need taking down. The company and personnel were punctual, courteous and careful at their work. (Note-while their price was not the least expensive estimate we received - maybe could have been lowe- but this group's work was good and professional so we would definitely recommend them. And, at least one of the cheaper estimates we received made us nervous about how carefully they had thought through their estimate and, consequently, might perform work around our house.)
