I called Lou Gottel Plumbing at 8:30 am.  Got a call back about 12:30, he'd be over in 20 minutes.  He came and saw the issue and repaired it.  He had suggestions for keeping the water from freezing at the very end of the exit pipe (in the woods), he helped dig that out a little to let the water drop from the pipe.  A job well done and a very good experience.

I have been using Lou Gottel Plumbing for plumbing needs in my older (50 years+) Morrisville home for about a decade. The company has worked with me on jobs including installation of a new dishwasher, diagnosis and flushing of blocked sewer pipes, and sink and toilet repairs. Now that the house is a rental property, I am relieved to know that I (or my tenant) can call Lou Gottel Plumbing and get great service. In every case, Lou or his staff have answered the phone or returned my call promptly; been able to schedule service quickly and arrive on time; provide a reasonable quote for services; explain issues and solutions; and perform the work correctly. I didn't know they were on Angie's List at the time, but I discovered for myself how great they were.
I came into contact with Lou Gottel Plumbing when I was fairly new to homeownership. The water knob on the back of a toilet broke in the middle of the night, and I sat on the toilet holding a bowl behind the toilet for to catch the leaking water while I trolled through the Yellow Pages looking for "emergency" plumbing service companies. The space under the toilet was only big enough for a bowl, and it filled up about every 15 minutes, so it was looking like I would be there all night. After at least 5 phone calls, none of which was answered or returned, I left a message for Lou Gottel, and Lou himself called me back about half an hour later. He told me how to turn off the water to the house (remember, I said I wasn't very knowledgeable at the time) and promised to come out the next day and fix the toilet, which he did. Such a simple thing, rescuing me from sitting on that toilet for many more hours, and I never forgot it--especially considering no one else even bothered, ever, to call back. Lou Gottel Plumbing has continued to prove their value to me ever since.

Called Lou earlier in the week, took about a day or so to get back to me. Scheduled me for Friday, showed up on time, with Brian, and finished the work in a couple hours, including a run to the supply house for parts. Easy peezy.and none of that " I'm gonna show you the price in the big book of prices, then you should join our club for a couple hundred so I can give you special member price , which still will be very high" kind of crap. I like these guys. No bulls#t, good prices, good work.

I called Lou at 6:30 on Thursday night - he was at my house at 8:00 the next morning, with a new hot water heater and had it installed in about an hour.  If he had had the part he would have been there that evening.  I have used their service before and have recommended them to many of my friends, who are now also customers for life!  They will never charge you for anything you don't really need.  They are completely trustworthy and I would recommend them highly to anyone.

I actually wasn’t here when they came but my wife was there and she thought they were very quick, knowledgeable. She had good impression on them. I had a leak in the showers as well and they said that they would get back with the estimate but hasn’t got back yet with the estimate. I am not sure whether the guys who worked here communicated with the company or not.

We have used this plumber for several years. Most recently they reset a leaky toilet. They always respond quickly for emergencies and do a good job. Previously they have installed cut-off valves and also replaced a sump pump. A little pricey but reliable.

He was very good. I think he came out the very next day after I called, so he was pretty prompt. He was able to get the problem taken care of very quickly.

Their work was substandard relative to advising us of the status of each task. They caused a leak. Basic communications did not exist. Unreliable. No courtesy communications extended at any time during the projects completed. They prepared bill in pencil for services after weeks of work in their truck in matter of minutes without any detail. Seemed like their billing was pulled out of air without much accurate detail organized tally of time and materials. Toilets and vanities installed have problems today. We refuse to even allow them back to correct items. Poor workmanship. Hostile communication with my wife. We do not recommend them to anyone. Very bad!

I'm not sure if I'd recommend this company. They did the work okay, but there was a mark left on my wood floor. I had noticed they laid their tools down on the floor with no protection, and I failed to say anything. So in some ways I feel I shouldn't give them a bad review because I didn't tell them about it. I also thought the price was a little high. They sent two people for this job and I wondered if I was paying extra because it seemed like it should have been a one-man job.
