We had a good experience with this company. They were recommended by our Realtor and we are glad we went with them. When I arrived at the home for the inspection they we well underway looking at the exterior of the home. Throughout the entire inspection, both of the inspectors were very clear in expanding what they were seeing and answering any of our questions. They took their time in each room of the home. We were pleased with their professionalism.

It was a bad experience. They performed the inspection and they missed a ton of issues. A lot of missing soffit and facia, holes in the exterior, plumbing issues.
Description of Work: They did a home inspection for me.

Response from Pillar to Post
On February 26, 2013, the member had a 9:00 am scheduled inspection. There were two home inspectors performing this inspection. We have record of arriving approximately at 8:40 am, 20 minutes early At the time of the inspection the member (home buyer) met with us and was present the entire inspection. There was no evidence detected of missing soffit/fascia at that time. On March 5th, 11:42 am the member contacted me, via e-mail and included a picture of missing soffit/fascia on the home. I responded to his e-mail at 1:23 pm, a respectable response time. (copy of e-mail correspondence attached). We apologized and tried to resolve the issue of missing soffit/fascia on one part of the home by offering to come back to the home and re-inspect the proposed issue and include this problem in a revised inspection report. No other issues were brought to our attention any time there- after. The buyer never responded to our email to permit us to correct his dissatisfaction in our report. With regards to “plumbing issues” the scope of our inspection includes inspecting any visible pipes, water pressure, water leaks, moisture detection in walls of which we performed all of these at the time of his inspection. We feel that an F Rating is an unfair assessment of our business. We were punctual, we were professional, our price is comparable to all home inspectors in the area, our response time was excellent, and our attempt to rectify the situation and accommodate our customer was ignored. Pillar TO Post takes pride in providing a quality inspection and accommodating our customers to the fullest. We value the opportunity to provide the best home inspection for our customers and we will go above and beyond to meet their satisfaction. However in this instance we feel that our customer (the buyer/member) did not afford us the opportunity to rectify his issue with the report. We can not refund his money based on the fact that he did not respond to our email, in our effort to resolve this issue.
