Lp Contracting

Description of Work: Within 3 months of the concrete paving of the driveway and sidewalk, both cracked. The mailbox was never leveled, it leaned toward the street. Tried for 18 months to get the owner to come out and fix the problems. Always excuses about either his vehicle wasn't working or he hurt his shoulder or other lame excuses. He stated that he never "screwed anybody over". Shoddy work, terrible communications, always coming up with reasons why he needed to add to the original estimate. Started out at $6250 for the driveway and side walk. Well he measured the driveway wrong so he needed and additional $800 for concrete, that's what he told me. Afterward, my wife said he told her $450. Charged $1700 for the mailbox and a 4 ft x 5ft wall. Total went from $6250 to $8600. $3000 of which I gave him cash when the Company came to take his Bobcat away because he was $1700 behind in payments. Now he is out of business supposedly. Would not be surprised to see him start his business again under a new name. Owner's name is Loyd Posey. Beware if you see a company that shows this name. I went to the block supplier just last week, end of May 2017, to pick up more stone that was used for the wall and mailbox. When I was talking about the problems I was fixing, she asked who the contractor was. When I told her, she almost choked. She said she would recommend some other contractors for me. She is the one that told me he had gone out of business. I got him to do the work originally because I tried to help him out. New baby ans supposed bad luck with equipment and employees left him struggling. I think I think I know now why he was struggling. His work ethic and results are horrible. Description of Work: LP Contracting removed old railroad tie steps that led from our driveway uphill to our backyard. Then, they created beautiful concrete steps in replacement.
