An all around good experience. They were easy to get in touch with over the phone. Denise was great to deal with. This wasn't an urgent matter, so I did not need immediate service. The repairmen showed up as promised, on the second business day after my initial call. They not only replaced the main spring, but also frayed cables and other parts that were worn. They showed me what they had done and left a clean garage. Very professional.
I'm not sure how to judge the price charged.  They are the only place I called, based on a prior positive experience.  I feel I got a fair price.  I'll definitely do business with them in the future.

Professional service, great looking doors that work better then I hoped.  Left the garage cleaner then when they arrived.

The spring on our garage door broke. I called Hunt Door Co. that morning. They came out that day and fixed it.

Response from Hunt Door Co LLC
"I am sorry your most recent experience with us was not a pleasant one. However, according to my records, the proposal for the new door was sent to you via e-mail on 6/17/14 and it wasn't until 7/3/14 that the signed copy was e-mailed back to our office. Number one delay out of my control. You had hit your door, it had a hole in it, but it was in working order (going up and down and you were able to use it). Had it NOT been in working order we would have most certainly moved your installation up in the schedule (whereby making someone else -- whose door was working -- wait a bit longer). I received a phone call from you on 7/16/14 indicating the association was pressuring you to have it replaced. I remember telling you during that phone conversation that we were extremely busy and that I would be more than happy to call the homeowners association and explain to them that our schedule was very busy and we would get to your installation as soon as possible. You declined my offer. Four weeks in many cases is a typical waiting period from when an order is placed until the installation date (there was also a holiday following the date your proposal was returned to my office which added to the all-over time frame). Again, (Member name removed), I apologize if you feel you were not taken care of in a friendly and business-like manner."

My car was stuck in the garage because the spring broke on my 2 car garage door. Despite the fact that they appeared to be really busy on the 3rd of July they wanted to fix the door before the long 4th of July weekend to avoid the inconvenience for me. The technician came out at about 4PM and fixed the door by about 5PM. I was initially asked some very good questions about the door and the entire situation when I first called so they were very prepared to do the repair when the technician arrived. They did not try to sell me anything I did not need, which is what I had heard others try to do. I believe the price was fair, especially given the fast service.

When I called Hunt Door and told them what I needed, it was suggested I just install a new opener instead of just repairing it given the age of the present opener -- 19 years.  That was actually what I was thinking of doing and they just confirmed my decision.  Within a few days, the new opener was installed.  The owner is such a nice person and is one that can talk and still get his work done.  Everything was cleaned up afterward and the system works great.  I've used Hunt Door years ago before I was on Angie's List.  I was happy to see they were on Angie's List with such a high rating.
I highly recommend Hunt Door and will use their services in the future.

I had an excellent experience with Hunt.  The installer was able to work with what he had (i.e. no outlets in the garage) and even went as far as asking if I wanted an additional outlet, at a cost.  It was very nice of him to ask, even though it hadn't been previously requested.  We could not be happier with the service we received and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

I even got some good advice on track and gear maintenance.
All of this was done for the reasonable price quoted just for the spring & cable replacements,  30 yrs of experience &  a no-nonsense honest approach to business.

The service call went very well.  The service technician arrived when promised, assessed the situation, offered a solution (with price), and performed the work.  Work was completed in less than 1 hour.  We are very pleased with the work performed.

They were very, very responsive. The spring was broken for one week as a matter of fact, I called them, and they came the next day. The person was here for about an hour, and it worked fine. I thought they were pretty good. I didn’t compare their price with other places, but I suppose it was quite reasonable, and not really expensive. The quality of their work was excellent, they did a good job.

I think that they are just very honest people. They are reliable and their work is good quality. I would say to others that they don’t even need to look elsewhere. I have no complaints about anything. We would use them again in the future.

We called Hunt Door to have our garage door balanced.  The technician came to our home, on time, and performed the needed adjustment(s).  He then recalibrated the garage door opener (my husband had just installed a new one himself), checked everything to make sure that all was in good working order, and was on his way.

We have used Hunt Door before, to replace a broken door spring.  The technician was able to locate a replacement spring (not an easy feat, as we have a single garage door in an older home) and save us money wherever he could.

We will not hesitate to use Hunt Door in the future.  They WILL NOT come to your home and tell you everything that's wrong with your garage door and try to give you a glorified sales pitch.  They WILL come to your home, perform the services professionally, and save you money.  This guy really knows his stuff.

The serviceman was very informative. He came right out and did a good job and fixed the problem. The price was a little high as there was an extra fee. It was considered an emergency visit only because it was a Sunday. Our garage door wouldn’t shut. I think during the night a spring had broken and it popped off. They had to fix that so that we could shut our garage door. We called them on a Sunday because we recently had some people breaking into cars in people’s driveways in the area.

I called to set up appointment to fix garage door wheel and cable which had come off of track and sheared through bolt on the wheel. Denise was very helpful and thorough with scheduling the appointment. She could have gotten the technician to my house the very next day, but I elected to wait a few days to better fit my schedule. On the day of my appointment, Denise called me when the technician was on his way. He arrived promptly and got right to work. Very courteous and took his time to explain to me what he was doing and what was needed. He found my door beginning to bow and showed me why (no reinforcement on top panel when opener was installed 15 yrs ago.). My options (pros and cons) were explained to me and I decided to have him put on reinforcement while he was there. No pressure, no great sales pitch..he just provided the facts. Work was completed in a professional and timely manner. I am very satisfied and will definitely use Hunt Doors again should I need garage or other door service. THANK YOU!!

Bob (installer) arrived exactly when he said he would. He wasn't counting on replacing the opener; it went bad a day or two before our appointment to have our garage door replaced. Fortunately, he had one on the truck, so he was able to install a new opener along with our new garage door. He completed the whole job in 4 - 5 hours.

HE WAS WONDERFUL. HE TOLD ME HE COULD FIX IT WITHOUT REPLACING IT, AND CHARGED A FLAT FEE ($75) FOR A SERVICE CALL PLUS PARTS. A FEW DAYS LATER, THE SPRINGS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR WERE ACTING UP. I CALLED HIM AND HE CAME BACK AND FIXED IT FOR FREE, EVEN THOUGH THE PROBLEM WASN'T CAUSED BY HIM, BUT BECAUSE HE THOUGHT HE SHOULD HAVE FIXED IT THE FIRST TIME. I WILL CALL HIM WHEN I GET THE NEW DOOR AND NEW OPENER.
