The bank reseeding has not gone well but they are trying. The preparation of the seedbed wasn't well done. They have been back to hand pull the weeds, of which there are many, and to respray in preparation to reseed this Fall. They plan on spraying again before reseeding. At least they are trying to correct the problems. We had a number of plants that did not survive the Winter. They have replaced all that needed replaced but two plants, a rose and a butterfly bush which they need to bring up and plant. There is an issue with the River Birch as it was planted too close to the edge of a incline and had to be replanted. Don't know if it will make it or not but Ettinger's had said they will replace it next Spring if it doesn't make it. There has been some issues with the cobble stone sidewalk in several spots, which they have fixed. There is a settlement issue with the stoop area at the front door which is built entirely of cobble stones; Ettinger's is going to rebuild that area next Spring as this will allow another freeze-thaw cycle so we won't have the settlement problem. Yes, they did compact everything but still we have settlement problems in spots. Ettinger's have been very responsive to these problems and are working to address issues as needed. They don't work cheap but seem to be a responsible company that care about the finished product and customer satisfaction. The finished product in this case looks beautiful and we have had many compliments on the job done. I gave the company a B only because the job is not yet completed. If everything gets done with the quality work that they are capable of doing that will change to an A.
