I have an older (1998) truck with a lot (201,000+) miles on it. Recently I had been experiencing some transmission slipping issues. I really did not want to spend a great deal of money on a new transmission, so I stopped in to Advance Auto and asked the guys behind the counter if they had any suggestions. They recommended something called Lucas Transmission Fix. The explained what it does and how it works. One of the guys even came out from around the counter, walked me to the shelf where it was, took it off the shelf and handed it me. He explained why it was great for my situation. After I purchased it, he even came out to my vehicle and showed me exactly where it needed to go in and gave me tips for helping it work best (like putting it in with the engine running). Being a novice at vehicle repair, and not knowing where all the fluids go, that was a huge help. He was very courteous, and I was appreciative of the fact that even though I am a woman who does not do work on her own vehicles, he (or for that matter, any of the other male workers) ever talked down to me or treated me like I shouldn't be in their store (I've had that happen before at a different auto parts store). I have no doubt that the service they performed saved me a ton of money on a new transmission. Since putting that Transmission Fix in, the transmission has barely slipped at all, a huge difference!
