About us

Family owned and operated heating and air conditioning business which was established in 1953. The 2nd and 3rd generation of McGlinn's are currently providing sales, service and installation of quality, dependable and highly efficient heating and cooling products. McGlinn & Son A/C & Heating is a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer. We are also NATE certified. In May 2016 we achieved the Bryant Medal of Excellence award.

I had McGlinn and Son install a complete HVAC system and RGF REME HALO Air Purification System in my home. The Air Purification System is an outstanding product you should check out on their website. My furnace is now 98% efficient and incredibly quiet. I am a perfectionist and the install they did was done to that standard. I chose them because of their A+ rating with the BBB and outstanding record of customer service. They offered quotes on different options to help me confidently make an informed decision. Gerry and his son where extremely professional, trust worthy and reliable. They answered all of my questions and at the end of the day, this project was done right! In my opinion, they are the best in the business and definitely a 5 star company.

Selected McGlinn and Son after getting 4 estimates. Gerry is very knowledgeable and was very helpful in explaining options. Gerry and his sons/employee were timely, professional and courteous. Install went very well and completed in one day. Installed a Bryant Evolution heating and air conditioning system. very happy with the product/service. Would recommend McGlinn highly.

I tried to post this review when the work was done but encountered problems doing so. It is a testament to McGlinn that a year later I am trying to finish the review. Very well. Punctual, professional, communicative and respectful. Knew what they were doing and were considerate of my needs for information and understanding. Gave me options from which to choose. Would DEFINITELY hire again!

I had my 23 year old York AC and Furnace unit replaced by McGlinn & Son. They were very professional, efficient, clean, respectful, and very reasonably priced. Gerry (the owner) and his son came during the consultation, took measurements, and explained everything very well. They provided 4 quotes with differing tiers of Bryant and Payne equipment for me to choose from. After I placed the order, they showed up 3 days later for the install (very quick). It was 3 guys - Gerry (the owner) himself, his son, and a helper. They replaced the whole unit including the outdoor AC unit, the coil, the furnace, all new piping and lines, plus a new Honeywell thermostat. They put on booties inside the house, put down rugs for the equipment movement, and left my house very clean just as they found it, no trash or mess at all. Everything went smoothly. Very honest people and did very good work. Highly recommend them!

I know that when I call, I will receive a call back in a short period of time. They come when they say they will come. If there are any issues, follow-up service is excellent. I have never had a bad experience. They are welcome to do work in my house when I am not there. I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

Had a great overall experience. Gerry was very responsive at all times and took more time to explain the options than the other contractors I contacted. He didn't oversell me on the most expensive unit and was quite patient at my various questions. His estimate was also very reasonable compared to others and his 5 year labor warranty was better than others I contacted. Overall, I was very happy with the customer service, quality of work, and price.

It went great. All of the workers were polite, kind and easy to talk to. My house was left in immaculate condition and the HVAC is working beautifully. My first PECO bill (after the installation of the new system) just arrived and it was $40 less than last year (I live in an 1100 sq ft home -- so $40 savings is about 1/3 less than the previous year).

In past years, I've had a lot of subpar experiences with contractors. What a delight to experience the opposite! They were really first rate -- professional, timely, courteous, and competent. Gerry listened to my needs/questions and responded with a range of price options. They worked non-stop for 8-9 hours, in tight quarters, and even managed to reconfigure my water softener system despite less space available from the new unit.

I reached out to McGlinn & Son when I came home to a hot house, AC running but house not properly cooling. Gerry squeezed us in early the next morning and had our house cooling within an hour. I felt that his services were quick, professional and affordable. I will definitely call them again for future AC repairs/services.

Gerry was excellent from the first contact through the installation.  He arrived on time for the estimate, reviewed what I had and needed and most importantly for this woman - did not speak down to me or try to scare me into replacing a heating system that is currently functioning well.  He sent me the proposal promptly,  it included 4 different options that we had discussed and I was more than happy with the price and the equipment choices.  Once I made my decision he was here in a few days to do the installation.  He and his crew were very professional and a delight to talk to  besides leaving things tidier than they were to start with in the basement.  The total installation was completed, everything tested and the new thermostat demonstrated by mid afternoon.


My neighbor highly recommended McGlinn and Son to me and I would certainly recommend McGlinn and Son to anyone else.

Great Experience! We found McGlinn & Son on Angie's list and after an initial email contact, Gerry responded within the hour to schedule an estimate. Gerry was prompt and provided us with 4 pricing options. Everything was clear and fully explained. We chose McGlinn after receiving 2 other quotes. We scheduled service, no prepayment or deposit was required, and Gerry and Ryan arrived at the time and date as scheduled. We found this company to be very professional, polite, and dependable. Gerry explained rebates and PECO savings opportunities clearly. They completed installation within 1 day, and there were no hidden issues or costs. We paid what we were quoted and our systems are up and running!

We were unhappy with them. He did something wrong with the piece and our basement ended up flooding and he wouldn't take responsibility. He claimed it was a faulty part and not his fault because we had to put a claim in our insurance. Update July, 2017: He did take responsibility and he did reimburse us for the damage.
