Fence Guys

They took the time to really customize what I wanted and part of it was the white vinyl and part of it was dogwood cedar. They let me use the dogwood cedar around the sides and the back and I used vinyl upfront. Other companies didn't really take the time out to really sit down with me and give me choices that could fit my budget.

Their pricing is very reasonable. They are fair. They send out knowledgeable workers to give the estimate and do the work.

The three-man crew arrived on time. Removed old fence and installed new. Job took almost 2 days. The crew was extremely nice, wasted no time. Everyone I dealt with, from the estimator to the follow up calls, were professional. Estimator listened to what I wanted, and provided a very detailed estimate with drawings.

They did a good job. The final project came out looking great, the fence looks nice.

They did a very good job. The sales representative did a good job explaining the company and everything that they were going to do. They came on time and did a very good job. The fence comes with a three year warranty. When I did have a problem, they were out right away to correct the problem. They fence is a vinyl product, and it does not require much maintenance.

Overall it was ok, but there was a continual stream of small annoyances that got progressively more significant. In the end, I did get the fence I wanted, but the process was less then stellar, to say the least. It started with continuing to call my wife after we both told everyone involved, over and over and over, to stop calling her and to call me. Then, I had to wait 2 weeks before even scheduling the install, which wasn't that big of a deal, but I had to cc all kinds of people to get on the schedule because I left repeated messages on the scheduling line. Day of install everything went fine in the morning. Showed up on time and professional. When I got home from work that night, I found clay and mud clumps and rocks and small plastic bags and cardboard pieces spread all over my back yard (like they tried to disperse the earth they dug up for the posts). I even found a big pile of cement remnants in my front yard (remember, this fence was in back). All of this I had to clean up. But, the fence looked ok and it was done, so I just moved on.... about two weeks pass and one day I go beside my garage and find a huge pile of more clay and dirt and rocks that they had obviously dumped there. Then, behind the garage is a pile of grass clippings that are there composting and I noticed a black bucket sticking out. They had tried to bury an empty bucket of quick set concrete. They had actually went all the way behind my garage and tried to bury it and hide it! At that point I got in touch with them. They came out a few days later and cleaned up that mess, but that didn't help me at all with all the work I did myself prior to that, nor the disgusting fact that they did this in the first place.

They came out and gave us a detailed estimate. When we finally decided to use them we called and they came out and installed the fence and it was the same price as the estimate. They were a pleasure to work with and we love the fence!

The quality was good. The workmanship was good. The workers were good and cleaned up after themselves. They were very respectful and worked hard. They worked in the rain. They did everything they could to satisfy us. They took away the old fence and I did not have to ask, argue or pay for. They did more than I expected them to do. They were very respectful on the property. Our house is over 100 years old and we completed a lot of outdoor work this summer. Their prioce was very fair. They could have made more money building a new fence but recommended we use parts of our old fence and it saved us a lot of money. They used a lot of pieces and used special adaptors that they special ordered. They went out of their way to make sure we got the best deal possible.

Other then the gate being installed too close to the fence, everything else was fine.

The fence guys came out a quoted replacing a section of chain-link that was old and a section of wood that had recently been torn down for drainage work. We wanted at least the missing section installed quickly because the pool was going to be opened. We are very happy with the fences although it took several emails to the estimator to get the full quote for what we wanted and our desired timeline could not be met. Overall a reasonable experience...not knock-your-socks-off fabulous, but still okay.

Tom, the estimator, was a nice guy who was great to deal with, and once I decided to go with them everything was simple, straightforward and seamless. Took them a little while to get there, but once our date was established everything went off without a hitch. I was concerned how the somewhat funky grading on the property would affect the finished look, but the installers did a wonderful job that looks very professional and very finished. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The foreman came and had me walk around with him again. I assumed wrongly we were working from the signed contract. He had me initial a hand drawn diagram that he created from the walk and it turned out that was to over ride the original contract which I didn't know. The fence was not put where originally agreed with the salesperson and the foreman refused to move it to the correct spot even when I offered to pay additional monies. I had to hire another contractor to put the fence into the correct place. Fence Guys had put the fence right through the middle of the front yard. It didn't even make sense where it was put and the foreman blamed me for not seeing that he was putting it in the wrong place because my office is in the house and he felt I should have been monitoring him, not working in my business. I took it to small claims. Unfortunately I have found the District Justice in Bucks County tends to side with the contractor no matter how ridiculous they sound. I lost and had to pay the additional $1500 to have the fence put in correctly.

Great experience! The estimator was very thorough and asked me exactly what I was looking for and gave great advice on style. I was worried about how it would look due to the steep grade of my backyard but he brought pictures so I could see the final product. I chose to get the permit myself and it was really easy but I think they can do it if you want. It took about four weeks to be installed once I signed the contract which was what I was told. The installers were very professional: they worked all day and cleaned up everything when they were done. It was finished in one day and it looks great! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys.

It worked out perfectly that they kept to the promise of fixing my problem just a few days into the new year. I recommend them highly with a score of Excellent in all categories.

The estimate was handled very professionally with a computer printout proposal (not hand written) of all services to be performed. The proposal also included a map of our property and the area to be fenced. Tom reviewed the proposal with us and made sure we understood all of it before leaving. The three gentlemen who came to install the fence were hard working, courteous and reviewed each step as they worked. Everything was cleaned up and replaced before concluding. My neighbor was so impressed that he also hired them to install fencing. We would highly recommend The Fence Guys to our family and friends.

The salesman had installation experience which really helped. He was professional, courteous and thorough. He also had a great personality. The crews came on time and were completely professional and worked very hard. We were very satisfied with the end result. We did talk to the office staff concerning a new start date, and they were great about it and very helpful.

The sales guy, John, was a bit of a character. All he could do was complain about his boss, which I don't like one bit. There was also miscommunication and lack of project details between him and the workers installing the fence. However, Jeff, in the office, was fantastic! He kept me up to date about the status of my fence and was extremely helpful. The junior staff was a bit unprofessional, but senior staff was exceptional.

The salesman, John Killeen, came out on time the day scheduled and walked the property line with me (the only one out of 4 companies to do this) and talked through my options to minimize tree-removal costs for the install. Once I selected the company and signed the contract, they scheduled me 4 weeks out. One week later, they called and asked if I wanted an earlier date due to a reschedule of a previous client. The installers arrived on time as scheduled and got to work. They cleared the fence line (no small feat) and had the entire fence installed in 2 1/2 days. They left the property very clean and in good condition - no trampled plants or anything! My backyard is now safe for my family and looks fabulous!

The product they sold us is top of the line. When we were looking at the fencing they had experienced people to show us what they had ,they also gave us advice and pointers on how to do the installation job. We feel we got a better deal than some of the other places offer on fencing since this company only does fencing.

Fence Guys were the ones who had originally installed the fence a while ago. I did have a few issues, but they took care of it. One issue was with a loose pole, but they did come back and fix it. After a while, the pole was not where it should have been so they had to fix it again. They did not charge me for this, so that was really good. Everything is working great now. They are very easy to deal with. My husband dealt with them mostly so I am not sure what the original installation of the fence cost, but this repair was free. I know they are not the cheapest or the most expensive. I guess they are right in the middle.

It took them a while but they did get the fence installed. They estimate was fair, but when the material was installed it had a lot of bad boards and it took them a very long time to correct it. I would hire them again but the contract would have to include them inspecting the quality of wood before installation.

We were very pleased with them. They arrived on time and worked all day from 9 to 5.
