Affordable Maids did a terrific job of removing heavy wood dust caused by the installation of wood floors. This was an extensive cleaning prior to move-in and they cleaned everything including inside the kitchen cabinets. They finished the job more quickly than I expected, which saved me a lot of money. I think you are paying up for quality a bit with this company but they do a great job.

They were excellent. They were on time, fantastic, they were great. It was a gift from my daughter. She paid for that. What I really liked was that they had a leader and she went back to check over the 3 of them. Every time someone did a job, a certain room or whatever, she went in and inspected it. So, when they needed to do this, this and this, when she wasn’t satisfied or it was okay. I was like, “oh, that was different.” She was like a sergeant.

Not affordable at all! In one hour and 15 minutes, 3 girls cleaned one master bedroom and bath, living room dining room and kitchen , an additional bathroom and a laundry room floor. Charging $185 ! The work was okay, but they really need to change their name!

They did a very poor job cleaning my house. Honestly, the only reason that I knew they had been there was because they had folded the toilet paper in a triangle. There was a dead bug in the center of the main room, it was very obvious. I saw it before I left I. The morning but was running late and figured that the affordable maids were coming to clean so that would get taken care of. I came back that evening and the big was still there. Additionally, there was still dog hair and dust everywhere...even in the rooms that were numbers 1-4 in my list. I had to spend about 2-3 hours that night cleaning more. The positive about this service - they are easy to contact to set up appointments and they call you before to remind you.

Deep cleaning WAS NOT a deep cleaning especially for the price they charge for a 2 room/2 bathroom apartment that is well kept. They did a good for a regular cleaning but definitely not worth the high price for a deep cleaning. The price was $250.00 and a deep cleaning was not even done. They did come back to do a deep cleaning after I called and complained in the areas that were missed but it was an inconvenience because I went out of town that next day and not only that but they never ever said they were sorry or that they would take money off the total for my troubles. They advised they would come back and do the areas that were missed. I wasn't very happy once again for the price they charge for a deep cleaning. It is way too high for a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom that is already well kept to begin with. I won't go back to Merry Maids most of all because they never said sorry or offered to give me a discount for their mess up. Who knows...maybe I would have considered them again if they would have said sorry with a discount but they didn't!! This is not a way to please a customer and have them come back and give their company a second chance.

I've used them for 2-3 years. They come every other week. They're not only good at housecleaning, but they always ask if there's any special areas to focus on. I like that! They're very nice and polite. Completely on time, every time.

They are terrific. When they hit the door they immediately start working. They always ask for any extra work that needs to be done and they go about it in a systematic way. They make my day every time they come over.

I live in Ohio and my mom about 2 hours away in PA. I hired the Affordable Maids to clean once a month for my elderly mom. It is so difficult to know whom to hire. I came to be there for this first cleaning. The provider sent 3 maids for my mom's small apartment. Yet the 3 were unable to complete the cleaning in our scheduled hour and 20 min. So I had to pay for them to spend another 40 more minutes there. That is $45 per hour per person! They missed areas such as around the tv, under the 2 beds and window sills. This small apartment should not have taken 3 girls 2 hours to complete. I called Katie that afternoon to complain and was told the girls would return after their shift that same day to complete what they missed. I waited and waited. After several calls from Katie telling me they'd be there and each time pushing the wait time further. She then called and stated they couldn't be there for yet another hour. She said they could come the first thing the next morning instead. I was kind and understanding. I said that's fine. The next morning she calls and says they would not be able to make it that morning nor the rest of the week! She states she'll take $20.00 off the charge that they put on my credit card. I had to sign and fax a form stating I am accepting this in place of the cleaning they didn't do. What a run around! I feel my patience and kindness were taken advantage of. All that time they strung me along with arrival times I could have spent quality time with my mom. I could have taken her out to dinner,etc. instead of waiting for what ended up being no reason. That is why the poor responsiveness rating. Though Katie responded by calling to update me on the arrival time it was always to make it later. This company is not "Affordable" at all! Housekeepers making $45 each and sending 3! With 3 they should have been able to clean that small apartment in one hour. The company charged my credit card $306.42. As of today my credit card has not been reimbursed for the $20. They obviously do not care about my future business with them. My advice is AVOID the unaffordable "Affordable Maids" I have since found another company that has been in business over 40 years. And is actually "Affordable" at one cleaner for $25 an hour. Hopefully we will have a better experience.

They were great! Quick and professional, they got everything done they were contacted to do in less than 2 hours and worked around the movers with professionalism and kindness.

I use Affordable Maids for my house cleaning services.  It's been a year and a half since I used them.  I was on a monthly plan.  I use them like twice a month.  They did my master bedroom and bath.  They did the den, the family room.  I think they were just a few times I came back and wasn't sure if it was as clean as it could have been.  I continue to use them because over all there customer service is amazing.  The ladies that come are really really nice.  They're very respectful.   I'm a little obsessed about cleaning but I don't but I felt like they in the beginning the things I felt that should have been cleaned, wasn't.

Mandy, Chelsea and Chelsea were fantastic. They arrived on time, and I immediately liked them, as did my two goldendoodles. They were lots of fun, but very professional and never stopped working. As an aside, they were neat and appropriately dressed. It gives me pause if a house cleaner is personally unkempt - could I expect a slob to clean well? My house hasn't been this clean in years. It sparkles!

The price was for a four bedroom home. They were responsive and I think they were the best price that we were looking for. They did everything that they needed to do. They called me before hand. When we got there it was clean and smelled good. We weren't home when they came but, they came when they said they would. They got it done in a few hours, so it went very well. They followed up to make sure that they did everything the way we wanted. They were great and I would use them again if I needed to.

I have been using Affordable Maids to clean my house for over 18 years! They are the best at what they do. After our son went to college, we scaled back from having them clean every other week to just coming every third week. This works for us and our 3 bedroom, 1 bath house. They always call the day before to remind us and then send a team for "the clean" as promised. They always do an excellent job, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. They always pass my "white glove" test on the top of the refrigerator! When dusting objects are picked and not just dusted around. When an accident does occur, there is  a note of explanation, along with the broken object and when necessary a replacement is paid for promptly. When there have been problems, a note or call is all it takes to right the situation. A detailed note is placed in our file, so that no matter which team comes to the house the next time they are aware of the change. A often recommend Affordable Maids to friends!

They arrived promptly at scheduled time.  I left a list of instructions which were never followed.  In 3 hours, they only cleaned kitchen, 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a powder room.  Please note that I keep my house very neat and clean.  There is nothing out of place.  This was not a heavy cleaning job -- just a regular, routine maintenance house cleaning.  We found this to be unacceptable.  I can clean my entire house (3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath townhouse) in 3 hours.  I told them to use a Shark steam mop on bathroom floors -- they did not.  I told them they did not need to empty trash cans -- they did.  I told them to use Magic Erasers on glass shower doors -- they did not.  I doubt they even glanced at my instructions.  At their going rate, it would cost $250 for a routine cleaning of my home.  When my husband complained that afternoon, they suggested that the first cleaning took longer.  Like I said, however, this was just a routine cleaning.  There was absolutely no reason it would take longer.  We will not be using them again and would not recommend them.

It didn't.  They refused to serve me, as they are "not under contract" to service my neighborhood.

We have been very satisfied with the service overall. Once or twice there has been a minor oversight which they made right in some way when I brought it to their attention. It's a "no drama," in and out service. It's not for people who want someone who will remember every detail of their home because the teams change. However, I found the team members to be conscientious, polite, and hardworking.

This is a well run and quite reliable group! We have used them for two years. They come every 3rd week which is sufficient. We do not have any pets, no youngsters, and no and quot;dustyand quot;hobbies.

They are very nice, but just do an OK job.
The crew was different every week, either 3-4 women would come in a two hour time window (which is not ideal).
They would rush in and do the whole place (3BR, 1.5 bath) in less than an hour.
They did not have much attention to detail--often would not replace trash bags, stuff like that.
You didn't get the sense that they were cleaning your place like it was their own.
Some of them smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which would linger after they left.
Bottom line, for the price they charge, the service did not add up.

They did a very nice job. Three of them came, they cleaned, it took them awhile. It was right after the winter and I needed to get things done and they did a nice job.

They did a very nice job, however for three people and 1.45 minutes they did not get the whole house cleaned. I had a bedroom hall, steps and living and dining room that did not get done as they ran out of time. Too expensive

Every two weeks they would come clean my whole house but i told them to only use a certain cleaning product and some would some would not and they would not even move the cable box to clean under it

Pros and Cons:
Affordable Maids have always come at the time they said they would, and they always charge what they say they will. Those two things are basic, but also not universal, and so I give them credit for that.
They are also professional about complaints. I have called to alert them to various issues, and they were attentive to my concerns and tried to make the appropriate changes in the next visit.
Unfortunately, after many chances, I have concluded that they simply don't clean the house thoroughly: for example, a basic component of cleaning a home is vacuuming the carpet and washing the floors. I have come home to find this step uncompleted.
In the end, they just simply do not clean the house well and that's what you're hiring them to do.
They're not bad people (pleasant to speak with, and seem trustworthy with a key, etc.), but unfortunately, something is awry on their cleaning crews.
