 + -1 moreIt was a big mistake and it took me a long time to get rid of this issue. It may be legal but I do not find it ethical.
Description of Work: No work was performed. I had them come out for an estimate, and he told me he could not do everything but he could do one thing at a time, which at that point was the basement. He wrote up an approximate price which would be paid partly at the beginning and the rest when the job was complete. At the bottom of the sheet, there was an acceptance of proposal. I did not want to sign a contract, just see an estimate. Estimate $2,623.
